Not everyone in the world reads OK! and Heat. And why does America keep getting brought up, since when was America the world?

In terms of celebrities....
Marilyn Monroe, Elvis, Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Madonna, Britney Spears, Oprah, and at some point Lady Gaga probably will be. They all come to mind in terms of international fame (although do people know Oprah in the UK? She's definitely the most famous woman in America, also the richest) and also in terms of the fact that anyone in the world that has watched tv or read newspapers knows who they are.
