I dont think I could live without meat, and I dont feel any particular moral qualm when I do so, animals have always eaten other animals, we are naturally suited for it and I dont really feel a responsibility to change that

Nope I'm not, or never would be.. but I did want to be a while ago, just because it's like rank to actually think of eating animals. But my cousin was one and got really ill from it, so it put me off the idea.

Your welcome to your own beliefs as long as you realize you esentially just crave the feelgood aspect of vegetarianism but without being willing to stop eating meat. That oblivious description the other person gave has got nothing to do with supply and demand either. We are not all going to suddenly stop buying meat to simply start eating others [presumably people who are ... you guessed it ... buying meat] The meat business is not going to vanish anytime soon. And people are not suddenly going to decide to buy twice more meat to become willing meat doners to people like you.

Actually I'm confusing myself trying to even work my way out of that batshit insane description of supply and demand. The demand is still there in some form or another. Thus so is the supply.

I've always wanted to be a vegetarian but I don't think I'll ever have the patience for it. I love chicken and beef far too much!

It's not my cup of tea really, and I don't really care about the moral factors truthfully, I've got bigger things to worry about then how happy my slice of beef was when it was a cow. Not that I'm against vegetarianism, do what you like. I just don't care.

To go all moral highground, I wonder how many vegetarians put as much effort into fighting for the human condition ... or helping starving people on the street. People first. Sure they are not as cute but I'm really not into this 'everything is equal' bollocks.

Kill a cow and give a homeless person a burger. That's a slogan for yis.

No. I like meat.

I hate how idealistic some vegans are - the claims that "they're lives! you're selfish!!! murderer!!!" well newsflash, sweetheart: the human race is superior. The notion of murder doesn't apply to animals - otherwise you'd see bears with police forces and lions with prison systems. A little dose of morality won't stop a cheetah from ripping your face off, and it won't stop me from having a chicken nugget.

[i'm aware this is a wild comparison]

You need meat in your diet, the human body isn't made to live without it. You can substitute it but substitutes are never as good as the real thing.

What annoys me about vegans is that they moan about eggs, milk etc but chickens are going to have their period regardless and cows NEED to be milked, that might as well go to some good use

I put a raw joint in a vegetarians trolley once in Asda.

How is being a vegetarian puting animals before people? People are clever enough to curve natures laws & not depend on meat & you can't seriously think that vegetarians don't have any effect on the meat industry. Supply & demand, if all vegetarians sudenly bought meat a lot more animals would be slaughtered. & I would'nt be surprised to find out a lot more vegs donate to charity/volunteer than non vegs.

That made me gag a bit, I feel a bit better about being allergic to eggs now.
