2007 was really good imo, it had Nikki and Berverly. But they got out too early and I started supporting Same Difference.

As much as I hate to admit it, I have still enjoyed XF 2008-2010 but it's never been the same kind of entertainment. More like "all my friends watch it and I have for the past 5 years so im going to watch it"

Would JLS have pushed Alexandra closer if they had someone more high profile than Westlife to duet with?

Alex was great in the Beyonce duet but a part of me still thinks it was Alex having such a big superstar to duet with that won it for her deservedly.

Good question tbh, I reckon so. I always thought JLS were much more popular than Alex.

But they've had 5 number ones so they haven't done too badly.

When it comes to the final 2/3... it will always be a solo act that wins. People feel sorry for someone who is on their own if they are up against a group and there is always more of a personal feel about the outcome if a soloist wins. Whether it was Alexandra or not, a group was never going to win and I don't think they ever will. You just don't get the same personal connection that you get with a really good soloist, not matter how the group is.

Alex has done well for herself but JLS have had it harder due to not winning but they're flying high.

I think Leona has done better worldwide but the other 2 are more well known at the moment.

I liked Rachel Hylton, she had her troubles which she turned her life around from but the press seemed to have it in for her. She's got 3 tracks on YT that she recorded but hasn't got a record deal yet?
