For me it's more to do with their character and personality,beauty is in the eye of the beholder so what some might see as 'ugly' will be attractive to others,and as for Patricks comment,words fail me!!! infact it's a very ugly comment to make.

A stupid comment by Patrick, but Im not suprised. To me, ugly is how someone looks and is less abput the personality. If someone has got a horrible personality, I find the person more horrible than 'ugly'.

Somebody I don't find physically attractive. Not to say I want a toned man with a six-pack, in fact I'd rather they didn't. I don't class ugly as having a horrible personality, I call that bad character.

I would think someone ugly if they had an awful personality. But if someone said to me they met an ugly person, I would think they were talking about looks.

I dont find many people 'ugly' appearance-wise tbh. I associate the word with feeling repulsed by looking at somebody, rather than just not being attracted to them. 2/10 or lower Id say is ugly. 3-4 below average, 5 average, 6-7 above average, 8+ hawwwt. In rating terms. Not many people are that low really, to me.

People can have an ugly personality too. Having traits such as arrogance, spite, ruthlessness, aggression, uncompassionate, bitchyness etc. 3+ of these and you have yourself a very ugly person.

Its also funny how an attractive person can become seriously unattractive with an ugly personality.
To me that shows whats more important.

I only use the word to describe appearance... I describe poor personality in much more colourful words

it's all perception really... there's many people who I'd personally say are very attractive whom other people would say are ugly and vice versa. Soforth I don't really think there's such a thing as ugly.

I think it's a physical thing, if I was talking about someone with a personality I didn't like I wouldn't use the word "ugly"..
