Not really, it wouldn't really tell us anything that the 5 minute peak doesn't and it would be more susceptible to statistical anomalies as ratings are calculated using sample data.

Edited my post. I meant the amount of people who watched at some point during the original broadcast, the highest 5 minute average is the peak. Though neither include repeats other than +1, they're only included in the officials.

I was just like ![]() In a way, I was annoyed at them for only realizing 4 years on that the red button was gone - but I'm relieved that alot of people outside these forums also miss Live Feed, I put a status on Facebook earlier about it and expected to be called sad, and it got a great response from 'the casual viewer' aswell.

Big Brother's house party begins with 2.7m viewers
Channel 5's reality TV series returns with a 12.4% audience share Big Brother returned to Channel 5 on Tuesday night with 2.7 million viewers, beating ITV1, BBC2 and Channel 4 in its 9pm slot. The second series of the regular version of the reality TV format attracted a 12.4% audience share over an hour and 45 minutes from 9pm. Big Brother has made a successful transfer from Channel 4 to Channel 5, establishing itself as the network's most popular returning series. Last year's first non-celebrity series of Big Brother on Channel 5 launched with 2.6 million viewers and a 12.5% audience share on 9 September. Earlier in the evening, Big Brother: the Auditions averaged 1.2 million viewers and 5.3%; while Big Brother's Bit on the Side followed up from 10.45pm with 900,000 and 7.3%. Competition at 9pm included BBC1's Silk (4.7 million/19.9%), BBC2's The Transit of Venus: a Horizon special (2.4 million/10.2%, including BBC HD), ITV1's Martin Clunes: the Lemurs of Madagascar (1.7 million/7%) and Channel 4's Jimmy and the Giant Supermarket (1.4 million/5.9%). Later on Tuesday evening new Channel 4 series All in the Best Possible Taste with Grayson Perry launched with 600,000 viewers and 3.6% audience share. The Guardian Not too disimilar to last years figures by all accounts. |
