Again, an ident isn't something presenter related, so he hadn't need to be, it's just the intro vid they show to programmes with the '5' logo in. There isn't one, I was just reporting what he tweeted and giving, in a smiley, my opinion on it, people boredly took it a lot more seriously than it was meant or was merited.

Maybe Emma has her own. But facts are Emma isn't the main host of BOTS, she's doing about 3 days a week to Rylan and the woman's 4 so they will represent BOTS.

No, but it's show related. If they're going to use presenters then Rylan and the woman is that.

I think it's good they have the team in the idents - a bit of continuity with the presenting team.

Rylan is marmite, you're either going to like him or hate him. I hated him on X Factor, liked him on CBB and I'm rooting to like him on CBB. I don't want it to be another case of the Brian Dowling's - he was a good housemate but as stiff as a board when it came to presenting.

He's done alright on This Morning and Daybreak though when he's been on.

An ident can be anything.

It represents the channel or a show.

Channel 5 allways relate the idents to the shows like with Dallas.

I'm not disputing your "they shouldn't use presenters stance", it was your "why are they using Rylan?" etc.

I don't like Rylan either, but fact is he is presenting the show and if they're using presenters in idents then he's going to be there. Emma is the face of the main show now no matter about how many days she's on BOTS. That was my point, unfortunately for us, Rylan and that woman represent BOTS now.

It'll probably be something stupid like him gasping and pouting, and flicking his hips at the eye and then the eye lights up. It will probably just be for BOTS hopefully, or when referring to BOTS

Where did I say that I didn't want responses? This place is getting worse than DS for reading into stuff things that aren't there. Just didn't intend this thread to be quite so po-faced and argumentative is all I mean. As I said, this wasn't intended as a moan, just a reporting of what Rylan had tweeted (see my more obviously jokey thread on this on DS), for everyone to comment on, the '

' smiley was just me exaggeratedly surmising my feeling towards it.

Anyway, I'm bored of arguing over Rylan bloody Clarke (or more specifically a '

' smiley which was my sole initial input other than the relaying of the tweet) and I wasn't questioning why they'd put a presenter or even Rylan in in it (I know what the purpose of a bloody ident is and I know that using the presenter is a valid way of achieving it and one done before), or whether it made sense (as others seem to have assumed for themselves) or why they picked Rylan as a host (though I'm still utterly baffled), I expressed my personal dislike for it and suggested and questioned whether there were other (less annoyingly camp and orange) ways to do it. That's my final say on it. Nit pick away.
