I still don't even see this as being a "triangle" or "showmance" or whatever.
To begin with, Dexter is clearly more into himself than anyone else, male or female.
Then there's Charlie who has stated
multiple times that she is not into Dexter 'that way'.
And Callum gets a bad rap. He's always just seems a bit playful with Charlie.
Let's get real for a minute... Charlie was brought on the show as half of a mother/daughter gimmick. On her own she's a bit dull and her "connection" to Dexter seems more like a means of not fading to the back of the house now that her mom's out and Callum is eternally at risk for eviction.
I feel like he's actually playing the "Dexter" game SO MUCH BETTER THAN DEXTER because he doesn't have that insecure, validation-seeking streak to suppress at every turn which always seems to come out in everything Dexter does.
Ugh. This show is addictive.
