Never said that at all, but there are stereotypes that exist where women aren't supposed to be sexually promiscuous or else they're a 'slut' (but it's perfectly acceptable for men to be and they're 'suchaladmate' if they do), even worse they get called this by women themselves, and if a woman gets trollied she's not very 'ladylike' (LOL that's a stereotype in itself). I could go on but basically the fact she destroys these stereotypes and doesn't give a ****** is good enough for me

Not all women have to act like Charlotte, it's a personal preference and it doesn't matter either way. The problem is when people are judged for acting the way Charlotte does (especially when men are celebrated for the same behaviour) and berated for doing so, when really...you know...live and let live and all that.

Also 'chav' is a (damaging and mightily overinclusive might I add) stereotype just so you know.

1) She's paid to run her mouth about it on a scripted reality TV show and play a character, she will have felt the need to live up to parts of that 'character' on this show too. It's exaggerated

2) Openness shouldn't always be confused with attention seeking, in fact it should be embraced sometimes

1) which is one of the reasons she should not have won.. Her whole persona is just one big attention seeking ploy.

Well it is a gameshow, if she used it to win (which I doubt) then that in itself makes her a worthy winner

Agree 100%! But obviously we're out of synch with the majority who find it entertaining eg.Towie,Geordie Shore, etc.!?!

See your point.
But don't you find it a bit odd that BB seem to frown upon supposed "flirting" done by certain women on the show (and thanked for their bodies in a sterotypical type of way) yet Charlotte ends up the winner and a "lovely person" ?

You mean like how Courtney gets judged for a bit of innocent finger play ?
Or Hazel's non-sexual encounter ?

Aren't you just a bit suprised BB have nothing to say about Charlottes chosen lifestyle ?

I can't disagree with any of that, there's definitely points to be raised from what you've just said. That doesn't negate the bile spouted at Charlotte though

So consenting and single males are 'stupid' if they're sexually promiscuous too? This is exactly the kind of attitude I'm on about, it's just baffling like who actually cares if someone wants to sleep around so long as no one is getting hurt in the process? Can people not just...live and let live?

And I see nothing wrong with getting trashed once in a while either so long as no violence or detrimental behaviour arises from it

Baffling?? Sexually promiscuous males and females are stupid! Have you never heard of STD's?
And nothing wrong with getting pissed if you behave yourself, but unfortunately it often leads to violence, seen and unseen!!

'sexist gender stereotypes' what does this mean?
It's not unseen behaviour, it's everywhere... Women of all ages behave like this all the time. Is it in my opinion to be applauded? no.

People are discussing her behaviour on a discussion forum. Nobody's moaning about her win.

This thread is discussing Charlotte's behaviour, stereotypes, acceptability etc. There is moaning going on in places on the forum but trying to shut a sensible discussion down in this thread with "stop moaning" is ridiculous. If you don't want to discuss then leave the thread.

Could say the same about not watching Charlotte in general, don't pay her attention it you believe she's an attention seeking chavette.

Jack, contrary to what I think you believe, I'm not an old prudish woman who sits at home muttering about the "youth of today"... I have a large circle of friends, mainly 30 something's but a few in their 20s. We certainly still know how to have a good time.. We go out, drink a LOT, dance, sing, laugh and generally make complete arses of ourselves, but we all know in which company it's acceptable to act like this.. I would never swear in front of other folks parents, I would get completely wankered at a family wedding, I don't fart in front of ANYONE, I act polite and mannerable in new strange company.... This isn't confirming to gender stereotypes, it's called having a bit of ****ing decorum!

With all due respect you said you wished I would play with razor blades, that's worse than farting in my opinion.

I don't know where you've seen her swearing in front of other people's parents? Bit unfair to make an assumption like that based upon an exaggerated character role she plays and is paid for in a scripted reality show

I wouldn't fart in front of anyone because it's embarrassing to me, but I certainly don't care if anyone else does...I have much bigger issues to be worrying about.

I also don't see why you don't think she's polite either? She came across as a pretty nice person to me in the house beyond all the swearing and drinking...

She doesn't play a role, that is her....It's not an act.
