This is horrific. What the **** is wrong with some people??
The children's mother helped?! I'm absolutely sickened. Hope they all go to jail and have the **** kicked out of them every day.

Wtf........He has pleaded guilty to raping an 11 month old baby ????
This man needs help and punishment in equal measure........Can't believe anyone could get any sort of gratification from inflicting such terrible physical abuse/torture on a small Baby...!!!! I think this man needs to seriously think about Chemical or actual Castration or Incarceration in a secure establishment until he is in his 80's or 90's

Hearing the two women are the mothers and were groupie style fans that would do anything to sleep with him, so went along with his sick game. Just speculation but sounds about right.

This obsessive infatuation some fans have with their idols is something I think that perhaps needs to be looked into, I mean if people are willing to go along with such abhorrent acts like this in order to please the lead singer of a band they like, then what's to say the impressionable teenage girls that support the likes of One Direction and Bieber won't follow through with their threats of death on those who either dislike said acts, or those who have been associated with them. I mean of course these kind of things are going to be rare occurrences, but still, this celebrity obsessed culture we're living in now has its downfalls. Some fans of artists are truly psychotic, and it would only take a trigger like this to provoke someone with existing serious mental health issues into doing something dangerous.

Absolutely crazy
One of my friends knows one of the mothers, from there it was easy to find her fb page... curiosity got the better of me - even more horrific seeing said child's picture's on her page. Not a fan of the band, but it does make me wonder what it'd be like having one of my favourite artists committing something as vile as this, and whether I could go on listening to their music... |

I agree Jack.
I'd also like to pick up on the mental health point. Paedophilia is most definitely a mental health issue and (bare with me on this) is it right to send one away to prison for years upon years and leaving it at that? I agree that the crimes he has committed are absolutely disgusting and a part of me thinks he should rot in a pit. But there is a small part of me that thinks a Psycho-logic review/rehabilitation would also be beneficial. If not for him but to lawmakers trying to understand what makes someone commit these kind of acts and the general public. It can never take-away the acts he's committed and an extremely long prison sentence would still be essential. But I always think that it is better to attempt to solve an issue than lock it away for a period of time until it gets out again... |

No, you are right. Paedophiles need some kind of rehabilitation, but the problem is I don't really believe you can cure someone of being sexually attracted to children. That's akin to saying you can cure people of being gay, which we all know isn't true. The thing I think is perhaps possible to change is people's likelihood of actually acting on their urges and sexually attacking someone. And that goes for all sex offenders, not just those who abuse children.
You've got to have some mental disorder to actually rape someone IMO, and that worsens if it's a child. I also think the same largely for murder too but that's a different debate. The problem we have is that people see the word 'paedophile' and start screaming and wailing assuming it's about someone that has actually abused a child, when that's not the case at all. There are plenty of paedophiles that I'm sure wish they could be attracted to adults much like the majority of the population, and would never dream of acting on any of their urges. It's these people I actually feel sorry for, because having to live a life of abstinence because your attraction is perverse must be incredibly difficult to deal with, both physically and emotionally. I think if we had a more open approach to this and encouraged those who felt they had perverse and potentially dangerous attractions to speak out and seek help, we could possibly prevent some actual sex offences on minors from happening, but raising this issue and wanting to discuss it makes you look like a bit of a weirdo and so it's unlikely to ever happen. |

His acts seem incredibly depraved, yet in some countries, this would be considered 'common-place'. Obviously not to such an extent but take for instance the 8 year old who got married to the 61 year old in South Africa. Similarly homosexuality is punishable by death in such countries. I am not and will never condone what he has done in any sense but it is clear that he has been born with a chemical in-balance in his brain and can we blame him for that? I'm not sure. I just find the whole debate quite interesting. What we can blame him for is acting upon that urge. Yet I feel the mothers as facilitators to this are much more to blame. |
