Good post Cherie. I'd like just enough to pay my way with everything and have some of the nice things in life, a holiday once a year and to be able to splash out a bit at Christmas. That'd do me nicely.

I'd say yes, if you know you have that funding aside that means you wouldn't have to worry as to bills or prices of things.
That you had the security of knowing reserve was there.

However I am not so sure if you have vast wealth.
Problems seem to be looked for when you have ridiculous wealth and generally those that have same, a good number never get to enjoy it really and it ends up eventually being squandered likely by whoever gets it after they die.

So it is where you are on the social scale and what you do with it for me that would mark out if it makes you happy or not.
It should because it is security in the end but it does seem to create more problems for some of those very rich than it eases.

Just seems like a big fat security blanket to me. Money.

It can make me happy but doesn't bring me the wholesome of happiness.

Most of the time the best things in life are free.

If you can't afford it then don't get it! There are millions of people in this world with a lot less than ourselves.

However this is human nature and it is our nature to usually strive more and get more. The greed of human mankind.

I must admit winning the lottery wouldn't go amiss.

money gives you choices, some people with money make bad choices.

one of my favorite sayings is,

some people know the price of everything but the value of nothing!.

Yes. There's nothing more satisfying than pay day, in the sense that you've worked however many hours and the money that goes into your account is yours to spend as you see fit, once your taxes and financial obligations are taken care of. I would love to have lots of money at my disposal. Of course it's all good and well saying that true happiness comes from within, because of course it does, but if you're clinically depressed then your bank balance isn't going to matter either way so I don't really see that as a valid argument for the whole does money make you happy argument. I'd be happy to be earning lots of money or if I won the lottery because I wouldn't go wild with it, I'd just spend within my means and be happy with my lot.

Having money puts me in the fortunate position of being able to travel and to do the things than please me when I want to. However, money can't buy the really important things.

Yes, money helps to make me happy because it brings me more options to do the stuff in life I want, which are the things that make me happy.

Yes most of the time, but it can cause bother in some situations, but probably not as much as if you have none.

No but having no money makes me unhappy, if that makes sense.

Same with me, money doesn't make me so happy that I'm really desperate to get it and am always working towards getting more of it, but if I don't have enough to be reasonably comfortable and be able to not worry massively about my spending then that'd make me unhappy

No.

The most enjoyable thing to me is taking a ball down the park with others and kicking it about and it costs f all for a ball nowadays.
