Another claim is "Ashleigh felt awkward during the hug". Why? It's not the first time they've hugged. If she did feel uncomfortable during the hug why did she look directly at Chris and laugh after the hug, would she not have looked the other way or looked down if she felt "that was weird".

Viewers who think Chris is creepy will think of him in that way regardless of the environment or people he is around. He could be making a cup of tea and viewers be thinking "he looks creepy with that kettle".

Yes it looked awkward but that's because Chris is an awkward person in general. Viewers see the awkward Chris and wrongly assume it's because he is creepy towards Ashleigh, yet they forget that Ashleigh and Chris are FRIENDS and have been since the start.

Ashleigh goes and sits on Chris's bed sometimes, when he is lying on it.

Which suggests to me she is very comfortable around him.

Those friendly hugs are probably enjoyed by Chris more than he would care to admit.

I mean where else would a sad creepy looking aging midget be able to share such warm hugs with a beautiful sassy intelligent young woman like Ashleigh .
