The new lightsaber looks to be more of a claymore, to be used with two hands.

Plus Stephen Colbert has a pretty good explaination for the hilt

From the look of the trailer, it has the right blend, CG hasn't been used to create scenes, only to enhance them, also, the new droid, BB8, isn't actually CG apparently
