Before anyone is allowed to teach at home, they need to prove to the education authority that they have the means to provide an appropriate balanced education for the child. That is a fact. You can't just decide to keep your child away from school as that is actually an offense that can be punishable with a prison sentence.
So, either Alicia is talking complete bollocks or she is providing someone to properly educate her child at home. End of ... not all that's written or said is true Last edited by bots; 20-01-2015 at 09:38 PM. |

ED to say: at least she makes an effort with her child. The child is 3 years old and knows her shapes plus her alphabet. In my area of work I see far too many neglected children who don't get any parent time. Last edited by DemolitionRed; 20-01-2015 at 09:32 PM. |

It does make you think what went wrong... I don't agree with the scoffing and the mockery, for someone so challenged she's doing OK atm. No wonder she's desperate to maintain her looks, I would think some teacher said it was all she had going for her for it to seem so deep seated.

I very much doubt that there is that much enlightenment around - a lot of people can't be bothered unless they have a personal reason to find out about things.

Funny how her father didn't get included in the title of the thread? Did he abandon her or something?

You'd think by the way Alicia acts she's grown up in some sort of fairy-tale fantasy land. I think at a young age she preferred some quick cash to learning. The stuff she comes out with is just plain weird.

From what I've read, there was abuse in her childhood (not sure if mental/physical). She left home at 14. She'd been privately educated. She obviously suffers with severe Body Dysmorphic Disorder. No, that does not mean she is vain - far from it. From articles, it seems her dad used to call her ugly (gawd knows what else was said/done). Obviously did not have a very happy or nice upbringing - and the scars are there for all to see.
Some people like Katie H only see the surface of a person and label them 'thick'. It didn't take any more than basic psychology for me to see that there was more to it than that. She obviously looks for approval from men and will never be entirely comfortable in her own skin. She even changed her name. Despite all that, no, it does not mean she is 'mentally unstable'. She obviously has issues but that does not mean she can't be a good mother. Sounds to me like she's doing the absolute best she can to ensure her children don't have the life she had, and that she educates them to the best of her ability - before the youngest is even 4. More than what a lot of parents bother doing. If you have no idea where 'people like her come from' then you are one extremely lucky person. |

Her eldest child (now 19) wanted to go to uni and have a career. Instead Alicia wanted her to leave school at 16, have a boob job and marry a rich man! Alicia is not estranged from her mother, because it was her mother who brought up Alicia's eldest daughter for the first 7 years. Alicia has frequently made her daughter miss school and exams, just so she could accompany Alicia to the US for more plastic surgery and to look after the baby. A good mum, NO |
