Black Widow.
![]() I haven't seen Thor yet, but my favourite is Iron Man followed by Captain America, then Black Widow.

If we're only talking the ones from the first movie then it has to be Cap - even though he was actually sort of useless IN the first movie... he knocks it out of the park in Winter Soldier and is good in the new movie too. However...

Black Widow was awesome in the first Avengers and in Winter Soldier but massively unimpressed that she went all clingy and whiney in Age of Ultron. WTF is that

Hawkeye and Black Widow are only human so are basically support roles. Iron Man and Hulk are powerful but have their obvious weaknesses; Hulk being only barely in control and Iron Man being totally reliant on his tech (if it fails, he's just some bloke, and he's screwed, he can't even fight like Hawkeye or Black Widow). Thor doesn't really have ANY weaknesses. He's good in The Dark World because it's just him so they can throw countless super-powerful enemies at him for him to defeat which levels the playing field. In the Avengers he's too much. He does have some good one-liners in the new film, though. In other words... it's the same reason that Batman is a more popular DC character than Superman, even though Batman has to use his feet and fists whereas Superman could just pick up the moon and throw it at someone. To reiterate though... Scarlet Witch >>> all of them ![]() |

You realise that all of the ladies swooning over Thor is a bit of a running joke in the MCU, right? You stereotypes, you
