Can under stand people not liking Ricky because hes boring, but I cant understand the level of hate that hes been getting, he hasnt done anything really bad, apart from some bitching. No, I don't think it's that at all. I think it's because he is perceived as a threat to Bear winning, especially after him coming out top in the votes on Friday.

However, I think he is a protest vote, because he has shown himself to be a thoroughly decent person, rather than a vote because he has been entertaining or seen as deserving to win in his own right.

He is a undoubtedly a nice guy, and I respect him for that, but he hasn't done enough to win in my opinion, and although I have some understanding of his refusal to do the first task, there was no need for him to refuse to even attempt the second task. That I find frustrating.

However, although I would agree that he is not deserving of winning, I cannot understand why this needs to be expressed with such hatred.

..yeah I agree also, Garfie..(following Cherie around..)...I'm not sure about the protest votes and if that's been the reason for voting, it may be, but not something I personally understand/the negative vote to prevent as opposed to the positive because someone is wanted to win...it's funny because in a way, the extreme opposites in character of Bear and Ricky have actually made them quite similar to me in that they've both 'hidden behind masks'...Ricky, I think is so insecure in himself and afraid to be himself in case 'himself' gets criticism and the irony there is that criticism has come through by that fear in itself......with Bear, he masks his gameplan and gameplay and what he's had to do to achieve it/upset people and be awful to them etc... behind the 'cheeky grin of humour'....both entirely different in their methods but both quite similar also in a way...Ricky for me though is the nicer person because he hasn't hurt anyone in his 'mask', so yeah, the level of 'hate' he's had is weird....

Pretty understandable that you wouldn't really want to talk to people who blatantly don't like you. I liked Ricky but I don't like the refusal attitude re tasks. For one thing they go in knowing there are tasks it's part of the game and second day I don't like the way he does it. If he said I can't do that because and explained rather than **** everyone else I'm not doing that I don't care if we fail.
