Well yeah, Christmas is obviously a bigger event and there is a major build-up to it for months in advance. People buy each other gifts and it's a specific time to appreciate other people/things you have in life which is a little different (generally) to Halloween. Whether or not the reason behind it is religiously related or not is irrelevant - some people do celebrate it for that reason and others don't. There is no set way to celebrate it. I suppose it just comes down to how you've been brought up/family traditions. A large majority of people just use it as an opportunity to show off their new clothes or go out drinking as I said - and that **** doesn't appeal to me.
