So out of all the aggressive people in that house you only take issue with a gay man and a black woman?

It's an aggressive house, if you're gonna call certain housemates aggressive but then never mention anything about the likes of Tom or Chanelle then it's going to look suspect. Pointing that out isn't a case of me doing the same thing as Sam, that makes no sense. I just think it's hypocritical to mention aggression and then home in on certain housemates while ignoring more aggressive HMs just because they happen to be white and straight. The desire to ignore racism and homophobia when it's staring you in the face is almost as disturbing as the racism and homophobia itself. |

Why does Big Brother get so much more complaints when other shows with actual punch ups and full on sex is overlooked? It's the BB fans they are so self destructive and killing the show.....my god ive said this atleast times now.

I wasnt going to come back and explain myself but it now seems necessary.....You are all missing the point. I meant, or tried to convey, that extreme aggression or bad intimidation can make people to do things they cant help. God luv, 90 % of the worlds murders are commited over arguments using words.
If a man goes up against a woman, regardless of their gender or skin and gets right up into her face and personal space shouting, he will be either evicted or warned and severely. HOWEVER women can do the same thing pushing a man to the brink of insanity, and she gets away with it and the guy is supposed to sit down and brush it off. Putting your point across and arguing is one thing, but when you get PERSONAL, thats different. I was using andrew and sue as examples because they were the last 2 fresh arguments in the house, just so happens they fit Dezzys profile of colour and gender which a lot on here want to label me with but you couldnt be farther from the truth. I supported dowling all the way through as a great HM and he was gay and Ive supported black or Asian contestants over the years. Im not racist or homophobe, I might come across that way just because there are a lot of different types of people in the house. My issue is with people that go OTT with comments and phrases that are deliberately designed to hurt. Calling Joe and aggressive wanker of despicable miserable old man would be regarded as bad but acceptable, but calling him darling boy is OTT. Sue said yesterday that Sams relationship in the house was nothing to do with anyone and she encouraged it, then she comes out with this ****. If Joe had have called Andrew a raving nancy boy or even darling boy, he wouldnt be here. I just cant seem to get my point across to some people as they will never listen to anyone they cant or wont like. My whole point is that BB needs to treat all hm,s the same, male or female, gender or colour, size or stature. This year they are loosing the plot and deliberately encouraging mayhem and its so plain to see. They are getting more blood thirsty because they think it brings the ratings but sadly it just disgusts most viewers. By the way, what is unacceptable language.....Using the C word obviously isnt, speaking about felation and spitting ejaculate out the window isnt, calling someone a darling boy isnt, so where do they draw the line. Certainly nowhere near the bounds of orality that other shows use. |

How anyone could consider "darling boy" as serious intimidation is beyond me.

I know my husband really really well, he's very comfortable with his sexuality, if a guy said that to him (gay or straight) he would find it funny.

I think you put your point across well there, Sam... I just think you're wrong, you keep drawing parallels and claiming injustice, but theres nothing to back that up. you do not have specific examples, you are just presuming that there would be different rules for different housemates, when really, there has been like ten(?) ejections in history of bbuk - and none of them were ejected for their angry words alone, so your entire thread seems a bit futile.

Sam, some of your post above is understandable but you're losing the argument by constantly bringing sexuality into it.
You're obsessed with this "darling boy" comment. That was not aggressive or intimidation. It was goading yeh but more fool Joe for falling for it. By the way, I've asked my lads what they thought and they said that Andrew was deliberately pressing Joes buttons and Joe fell for it hook, line and sinker. Just like you have. Anyone who would punch someone for saying that (which is what you're suggesting) is either homophobic or unsure of their own sexuality. Simple as. I agree with you on a lot of the other points but this is simply not one of them. |

And by the way, you're not helping your cause by only starting threads about Sue and Andrew.
After watching last nights show, what the fook was Sam at? He stood up and constantly told Sue to get into the house. What was that about? That was certainly aggressive and intimidating. When I saw the clip yesterday I thought he'd stood up after she started on him but he didn't he stood up before she said a word to him. He deserved exactly what he got. |
