I get both sides and think a balance is much more necessary. Yes, men sitting in certain positions can be uncomfortable but there are other ways to sit rather than manspreading.

The woman should be more rational over her actions and not use bleach. If this is the method she wanted, water never hurt anybody. Alternatively she could be polite and ask them to change position.

This is definitely more of a European thing... or maybe dense areas here like NY... we ain't got sh** for public transportation in most areas in the US. But really, it wouldn't just be "men spreading" (sounds really gross) their legs or whatever... there's all kinds of things that go on on public transit that would just as bad if not worse... I know I was probably super annoying carrying my massive portfolio+art supplies back and forth on the bus between school/work when I sat inward-facing chairs... sometimes with a cardboard box and a canvas painting drying on the inside as well ... man, if someone threw bleach at my work while I was still struggling with insomnia, it would've been WWIII... aaah now I am having nostalgia ♪...
