John Paul's rape, Steph's cancer and the Costello trans story were some of the worst soap stories of all time. And genuinely insensitive too.

I admit Hollyoaks take the most risks in terms of controversial storylines, then on the other hand they're the most far-fetched. Rather than focusing on the hard hitting subject sometimes they focus on the serial killing. 7 or 8+ killers in one village is a bit much

HO literally replace characters and aren't even subtle about it. As soon as one psycho leaves you can spot the next one, sometimes within the same episode.
