The diversity JUMPED out this season huh, no one looks like someone else from the cast so far (plus there's still that Asian guy from the preview to be added as well)

The South African version had a coach's twist years back, though it wasn't past players. As said Big Brother did it as well, I'm not into having past players paraded as experts, something Big Brother does a lot of.

(I know that's not taking commercials into consideration, but honestly, what commercial break wouldn't be improved by getting Sandra Diaz-Twine to yell indiscriminately over the top of them?)

I wonder if there was some kind of education theme that got aborted somewhere down the line... nearly a third of the cast are students or work in school admissions

The diversity of the cast is giving me good feelings about the season. I just hope we get good character development and that Sandra/Rob don't swallow up all the airtime (they definitely will)

Some answers to "which Survivor contestant are you most like" that stand out (i.e. are people other than Parvati and Kelley Wentworth): multiple people comparing themselves to Devon Pinto, Lauren comparing herself to Troyzan, Elaine saying Rupert, Elizabeth saying Kara, Janet saying Stephenie, Vince saying Shii Ann (), Tommy thinking he's a mix of Davie, David Wright and Amanda Kimmel (whatever that would look like) and Noura saying "Fabio and Jud" as if those are two separate people

Just wanted to report that I have not looked at this cast at AT ALL and I'm not going to be here for premiere night I am DEVASTATED but I have a work event that you'll pretty much get fired from if you miss so alas. I'll have lots of belated thoughts this weekend so have no fear xx

It's sadly the worst night of the work year BUT somehow it will probably be better then the night when A) Ghost Island premiere and B) I had to get a rectal exam and fainted, and then fell asleep during the Survivor premiere exhausted from all the trauma of the day.

TMI probably but who cares!
