So whataboutism is ok ...on your terms LT

As I thought would be appreciated no two cases or courts are alike.. and these two were poles apart.
There is no comparison, as the govt regularly do when challenged the union can appeal... Nothing wrong with that.

yes let them appeal but all their vile leverage (disrupt children's Christmas, feck up a very important election ) is gone. lets see how well they do with a February strike...

As said the strike was announced before the election was.

Why are you not worried about the kids of the posties who's mums and dads rights at work are being eroded, how will they enjoy Christmas with the anxiety of unsecured employment like the kids of the Asda employees?

But many won't think that.. they won't give flying feck about those kids as long as their ebay parcel arrives and they get good feedback.

unemployment is at a record low, plenty jobs around - ideal if you do not like the current situation. Amazon are hiring as are all couriers. seekers market.

The strike is off, court ruled. Read the ruling. I did.

Well it seems I've been a naughty boy and have upset the sainted Trumpets' sensitive feelings, I could interpret what you said as calling me scum if I had a mind to so touche! I note you still evade telling us what you do in the Post Office 6 days a week so I'll assume you're a Franker possibly with an enlarged right arm due to all that rubber stamping! (Do try and nurture a sense of humour!)

Yes the judge actually had the neck to say that the election influenced his decision! Well I'll say it again and sorry folks but the strike ballot was way before the announcement of the General Election so that is not a valid excuse in my book!

For the 3rd time the strike was called before the election.
Do we live in a democracy or not? We have unions to protect workers rights ... what is it called when those rights are overridden?

Yes we all know that
But a General Election has stopped it.
That is Democracy
Postal votes matter
more than workers anger

I work in recruitment and have heard first hand of some of the horrors from previous staff members (plural), including some junior managers

Although, I'm glad your cousins son enjoys the work.

Probably staff with grudges who got canned. they employ 27,500 or so staff so they must be treating them well. their efficiency is excellent. I have a friend in senior management too and get the other side of things, but she loves it and is very well rewarded for her hard work!

General Election poll frenzy will deliver Royal Mail a £30million bonus

Royal Mail could receive a £30million windfall from the General Election as the increasingly bitter battle between the political parties continues to escalate.

City broker Peel Hunt said the ‘volume boost’ for the company from electioneering mail and postal votes will come nicely ahead of the critical Christmas trading period when the firm employs around 18,000 casual workers to handle extra post.

It follows Royal Mail’s successful injunction of a strike led by the Communication Workers Union last week, preventing a damaging December walkout.

workers would have chucked this cash bonanza away in order to strike?

You bet! I thought you knew better than most about workload, what makes you think that on top of the building Christmas traffic and Black Friday etc Posties would be overjoyed at having to deliver to every house every day for about £30 quid extra in their pay, and let me tell you going to approx 1200 properties every day with election ****e is no easy task! And please don't waste your time coming back with rubbish like it's your job get on with it cos I'd like to see you do it! I've personally walked over 6.5 million steps in last 12 months, how about you..bout 500 back n forth to Post Office?
