i can see another civil war happening in the labour party now. The far left are saying that Corbyn wasn't so bad and the right are saying they haven't gone far enough right

The thing is though it's not even about the economic right/left as it always has traditionally been with Lab vs Tory... it's about the perception of "Labour Wokeness" and other hardline ideologies infiltrating the party that "the average voter" just wants no part in. So even people who are more left-leaning economically feel sociologically/philosophically "unsafe" with Labour.

also, Boris stated in parliament that people werent interested in the sleaze nonsense ... and he was right, they don't care. Meanwhile Keir is staging photo ops with wallpaper

The labour party are very much westminster driven and there is an obvious gap that has formed between them and joe average that is their main voter pool. The tories are obviously westminster driven too, but Boris is very adept at appearing connected with what those people want, whether he believes it or not

the issue wasn't leave or remain, thats done, it was more they didn't want to be left behind if the tories were investing in areas around them and they could miss out on the cash

Ł5 minimum.
So even in the next General Election
the Yorkshire post Reporter said

The Labour candidate was dire.
I am really pleased he was trounced, we had the unfortunate luck to have him as our MP until he lost his seat after two years of doing absolutely nothing for the locals.
He jumped ship from being a Police commissioner candidate when he heard about the Hartlepool election.
People in Hartlepool are not stupid, plus they are not far up the road from here so are aware of his history.
Other than that I am quite surprised it went to the Tories.

I agree.
The Labour candidate was a terrible choice.

This seat did nearly fall before.
There's been a move away in recent elections.
Absolutely leaves me devastated to see Labour doing so badly.

However it's politics, sometimes I never understand the thinking of some voters.
Today is one of those times no doubt.

It isn't just Hartlepool either however so really, a lot of other things need analysing and dealing with.

I know one thing, I as a party member will be helping gather support in the party for over the next couple of years.
