…I love those, I so covet one….…I was thinking, though…you would obviously need to buy provisions so for ease of parking in town etc, you would surely need to have a car as well …that’s a lot of carbon footprint….I mean, if you were parked in a caravan/camper van site …it wouldn’t be practical to just take the van offsite for shopping….

….there are tents that look like VW vans and they’re a bit more affordable so maybe that’s something to think about…

Someone I work with owns one of those old VW Camper vans. There’s a really big interest for them, there’s like owners clubs that go on cruises around parts of the UK and some of the vans particularly the older ones, sell for crazy money. It’s weird those vans in fact many older cars that you don’t see anymore have some presence to them when you see them in person that you don’t get with newer cars today. I was warned though that owning such a car can be a nightmare to maintain because of parts etc.
