Well tough, I'm very, very proud to have voted to leave. And we won. YIPPPPPPEEEE. I enjoy being a clown too.

…none of the many articles refer to COVID, Arista…the charge is purely Brexit related as stated…no roaming charges would be possible if the U.K. were still in the EU, which is why other European countries aren’t having them also…?…because they’re EU protected and we’re not…it’s not ‘both’ no matter how much you want it be and I’m not really in your mindset at all of COVID = China stuff….

Covid has cost Vodafone
as they had to close stores
in lockdowns.
So that matters, this new £2 a day charge
will bring back some cash for them

….…everyone needed their phone use during lockdowns and some people who hadn’t previously used mobiles or were using very little, were using them more and all non essential shops were locked down but haven’t increased charges in the same way……the charges are because they can…because the roaming charge ban only apples to EU so they’ve taken this opportunity of Brexit to get those profits of theirs rising …Brexit, baby…no ifs, no buts, no maybe…only Brexit….

The Phone Companies have flip flopped on this one. They said they wouldn't introduce roaming charges post Brexit, seems they have changed their minds. More about greed rather than Brexit so it seems.

Though in fairness this is a non problem for 99.9% of UK Citizens.

That's not first world problems, it's something like ... Minus-forty world problems.

…huh…?…

…well actually it can cause a bit of an issue and expense for those spending much time in and out of Europe through work …and for low incomes especially, whose budgets don’t run to Soya Latte and daily copies of the Guardian…it’s an added expense to a European visit which was a struggle anyway…

..it is about greed for sure but being in the EU ‘banned’ that greed in roaming charge restrictions…ultimately it’s Brexiting from the EU that’s the cause of it…they charge because they can and weren’t able to before….

It's more about them lying, basically. I can see it backfiring tbh. If a couple of companies don't change and Vodafone etc start to lose custom they'll soon revert back.

… Brexit is built on lies, it has lies running through its heart and veins and led the way in lies… so it was inevitable that increased profit opportunities were going to live and breathe those lies as well….

You were warned, but you knew what you were voting for.

Hilarious seeing folks try and shift the blame. If this was the only negative of brexit, then fair enough, but most of project fear has been proven true so far.

And it's ok to mock folks for a tiny expense when travelling abroad (because it's only guardian reading, soy-latte drinkers that go abroad ), but stack it on to food prices which will rise, empty shelves, the costs of dealing with postage etc, and suddenly those sunlit uplands are costing folks a lot of money.

including the decision not to vote, a lot is being laid at the door of people who voted out but at least they voted for what they wanted, you have a whole cohort of people in the UK who didn't vote and didn't want Brexit which I find every more annoying!

It's a forum open to anyone to comment without any particular authority. You don't have to care and nobody asked you to.
