Today, I pulled up Beside two donkeys
Got out and gave one a head rub while the other one looked over at me

I love donkeys.

I've become a lot more confident around animals lately. There is a really nice family friendly farm near me and I get to stroke and feed the goats, sheep, cows and pigs and it's the most comforting thing they are all so cute. So I hate anyone that would want to see animals tortured

Liam can say what he likes, but im the same as Kaz on this one. If you find entertainment in watching a defenceless animal being tortured to death then i really don't have any sympathy whatsoever. Children on the other hand is different, they don't have a choice, their parents take them along. Children dying is tragic, anyone will agree with that. But as for the adults, meh.

Seems strange to have no sympathy as if being a bullfighting spectator is the only aspect of their personality, never mind the fact they would also be parents, children, siblings etc to other people and might also have done a lot of good in their lives

Plus people are products of their upbringing and their environment. If you grow up in a town where bullfighting is still seen as an art form and have parents who instil that then you're going to have a very different view than someone in the UK where its never existed and seems alien. Always best not to be too judgey imo..

yes definitely. I don't like it and think it's a terribly cruel form of entertainment but people could judge meat eaters in the same way if they came from a culture that were all vegetarians for example

They could, but it's completely different when you're actively paying to watch an animal be tortured purely for 'entertainment'.

That’s an interesting point although why ANYONE would want to see a completely innocent creature tortured then killed bemuses me .. I’d feel the same if it was for food but this was for pure entertainment

Aye true...same goes for growing up in places where the builders are cowboys, injury or death through incompetence is to be expected.
