What a joke A lorry driver going to jail for trying to take disgruntled migrants back to France !!! I'd have given him an award.

[Kent County Council reveals it is at 'breaking point' and
threatens to sue the Home Office.]

SkyNews now has it on their ticker

[The Tory local council could launch a
judicial review as early as this week to try
to force Home Secretary Priti Patel to disperse
the youngsters across the country after they arrive.]

[Kent is bearing the brunt of the majority of
migrant arrivals in the UK from mainland Europe
and has a statutory duty to house them.
But it argues that its social services have
been stretched to the point where it can
no longer do this safely,
with some children being sent to stay in London.]

Last night
A Special Report on NewsnightHD bbc2
found out that other zones were meant to take children
but no money for the Government
has arrived in any part of the UK.

Taking Safe Care of Children from these boats
costs big money.

So the Organization/Charity helping these Illegal Migrants
is not blaming Kent
for saying no more Children can they look after,
As Kent is overloaded.

I read that Pritti Patel is in talks with Denmark over sharing resources and having asylum seekers processed offshore. Rwanda, I understand, is being considered to handle the processing.

It could be beneficial for Rwanda too, some income and stability. Although everyone's going to have to look at how the refugees are kept. It's got to be fair and the accommodation has to be acceptable with access to medicine etc. Our army has spent a fair bit of time in Rwanda on peacekeeping and medical missions. It could work.

That said, I'm sure there's going to be a lot of resistance, outrage even.

[Priti Patel has said a new immigration bill
will “break the business model” of people
trafficking gangs facilitating illegal crossings into the UK.
The home secretary said the new legislation
was aimed at “addressing our broken asylum system”
and taking action “in a way that we have been
unable to take action in the past because of
our membership of the European Union”.
The Nationality and Borders bill, which will be
unveiled in parliament today,
will allow migrant boats to be sent back to
France and asylum seekers who land
in Britain illegally to be arrested.

For the first time the way in which a
person arrives - legally or illegally - will have a
bearing on whether their asylum
application is accepted.
Prison sentences will also be increased
for people who enter the UK without
permission from six months to four years,
and a maximum of life imprisonment for
convicted people smugglers will be introduced.]
