Well i diskile Dave enormously but I think even I would be driven to do something similar at this point in the story. Not with food though. I fkng hate people throwing food about.

Most things that the HMs do are subjective however when one of them is heard to blatently lie (not just Dave .. but it is Dave we are discussing) or do any number of other things I could cite re Dave, having seen and heard the context for myself, it is wrong to deny that they ever happened or make lame excuses about them.
Had Dave not wanted to be judged by his 'mantle' then he should have gone in as Mr Dave V .. not as a Christian Minister, I still wouldn't have liked him but the issue of his religion wouldn't have gauged him or his actions.

When are you referring to with his "blatant lying"?

I see where you are coming from with regards to entering as a Minister but I still dont think he should be solely defined by his religious beliefs, theres clearly a lot more to him than that.

Although credit to you if you did start a thread praising Dave, I hadnt realised

A Minister is in a higher position than us ordinary Joes, he is charged with teaching by word and example.
My opinion is that Dave has let himself and his Church down, his portrayal of himself as a 'Man of God' just isn't believable, he makes too many repeated 'mistakes'.
Again plain Mr Dave V. would have sailed across most of these incidents, a self proclaimed Preacher behaving that way never had a hope of doing anything other than crashing.

I don't agree that he has let either himself or his Church down - I think he is just being himself, having a laugh - but also trying to play the game, as he is as entitled to win as anyone else! And I think he would use the money more wisely than many of the others!

Being over-the-top at times is clearly part of his personality - something, no doubt, his church supporters love him for - he is very charasmatic -and full of enthusiasm in his approach to life! He has added a 'spark' to the show - that he no doubt adds to his church activities! Dave is Dave - no pretence, no airs and graces - what you see is what you get - in my opinion!

The latest was yesterday (I think, so much has gone on over the past two days) , he was going on (and on) to Corin, telling her that he had no idea where the wigs had been hidden, hadn't had anything to do with the 'prank' and he was certain that it hadn't been done to upset her. ....
I don't know if you saw him on Sunday, goading Sam for hours about taking the wigs because it would have Corin raging etc, etc.....
He actually told quite a few 'howlers' that day ... I'm sure the post are still up, I contributed as it was going on.
