So Brian is now turning into an Endemol and C5 stooge also. Not suprised.

My issue with Brian D is that he's kind of irrelevant to what BB is now, despite winining UBB on a wave of nostalgia. He said it was a popularity contestant (ie won by the nicey wicey preferably thick but ultimately dullards). If that's the case, you might as well give Ł100K to the nicey wicey person on launch night and save us 8 weeks TV. To make the BB franchise meaningful and to survive Aaron needs to win so that winners are not predictable identikits of previous nicey wicey but thick housemates. It's difficult for a smart person to win BB as intelligence causes suspicion and smart people tend to have opinions and opinions tend to make people unpopular. 'Blank canvases' like Brian Bello and Sophie Reade won't let you down with any dodgy fox hunting habits or non-vote getting interests.

The issue with Brian D's likeble popularity contest stance is the show has evolved, people have watched BBUS and now like to see a bit of strategy alongside a persona. Aaron's a game player but he's also witty and funny. He would have been evicted by week 2 in the early era BB, but now he survives multi-evictions to reach the final. That would never have happened 2000- 2007 era BB. If its a pure popularity contest whats the point in having HMs like Harry, or Aaron who bring something different. You might as well have a house full of thickos such as Brian Bello and Helen BB2 and be done with it.

As for whether Brian D should be neutral, well by BB4 (the dull one) Davina was obvious in who she disliked eg Federico BB4, Jason BB5, Makosi BB6, Rachel Rice BB9 etc.

Given the soap opera type of editing that BB is now, Brian D would hardly feature on the HLs now if he were a 2011 contestant.

He was on the show as a panelist, they're under no obligation to be neutral & he's free to give his opinion, so what if Brian doesn't like Aaron, he's not everyone cup of tea

I noticed that too, GabbygalEvs. Anything pro-Aaron is swiftly stopped. I remember when John McKririck wanted to praise Aaron, Emma said quickly 'we can talk about that later'. Later never happened.

Also when anyone is nasty about Louise or Jay, Emma looks shocked and says 'don't be nasty' before being nasty about Aaron for the 9000th time!

Agree. He is very, very unprofessional and has got worse and worse as the show has gone on. Think a lot of BB fans have lost respect for him.

Hope if it comes back next year he isn't presenting - he's got a lot to learn.

Remember when Davina said she didnt think Josie and John James romance

wasnt real, she got death threats, thats why its better not to give opinions

there are a lot of ardent fans, who get very irate when there faves are criticised, I noticed he soon went on facebook saying he likes Aaron, after he pulled him to bits on the show,

If Aaron wasn't on the show BB would be dead and not re-commissioned for the future. No one would watch Alex, Jay or Louise. Even those that hate Aaron have more to say about him than others.

BB is about creating talking points. Which HM creates talking points. Alex of course.

I think it's good that he has his own opinions on the house mates, shows that he actually takes an interest in the show and cares about it, better than just sitting there going "oh yeah they're all amazing"

Exactly! Big Brother is about passion for the HMs, davina was passionate about the show and I want Brian to be as well, it's part of the charm of BB

Brian had the front to suggest that the public don't want a winner like Aaron! Well I do and I'll be putting in overtime come the final to try and help Aaron get the win. I liked Brian when he won Big Brother for the first time but Aaron is a more interesting house mate than he ever was. Perhaps all this bad mouthing of Aaron is because Brian thinks Aaron will be more popular than him. He is doing a very poor job hosting anyway so I would concentrate on that instead if I was him.

Brian suggesting something like that will only make his fans vote more! In regard to how they were as HMs, I don't even think they're comparable, they were completely different. Aaron is definitely a more interesting and complex character where as Brian was just hilarious.

And I think he's doing a fine job presenting!

I think they are comparable. Now I voted for Brian and I agree he was hilarious.
I would also say he was no fool. We didn't laugh at him but with him.

Aaron has far more to offer in terms of personality. Do you really think Brian is doing a good hosting job? I really don't and I have been willing him on but he seems uneasy to me which in turn makes me feel a little uneasy watching him.

Well, at the very start I found him a bit stiff and he definitely struggled with the autocue, I think he's come on leaps and bounds in the last few weeks, still room for improvement mind you. The thing I think he really has a natural flair for is interviewing, I think he's already doing a better job then Davina there.

Now, he's my favourite HM of all time and I just love his personality so that is more than likely influencing me too.

I still like Brian a lot, and he has turned out to be a great presenter as I always knew he would,... but he was way out of order last night!...In fact he was well over the top on a programme that I find absolutely crap for its lack of professionalism!

A thought occurred to me when Brian was showing just how anti-Aaron he was.....I wonder if during the first interval when Harry was evicted, that while Brian was escorting Harry from the platform to the interview-set....did he whisper a few 'prompting-words' in the evictee's ear?....such as "You'll look a proper fool if you say that Aaron is a good guy. Because everybody that watches the show can see through Aarons game!"

Hence...Harry's Judas act!....or am I still trying to find a way to forgive the back-stabbing sod??

Yes Chuff they always do!...But I expected a bit more class from Brian. And I was disappointed with his pack mentality last night, I thought that the champ of champs would have been able to appreciate Aarons value to this years Big Brother, afterall the success of the show relies on characters like Aaron...and not the likes of Tom etc!

Has it ever dawned that they actually do not like the guys character?

They are at liberty to say whether they like or dislike a H/M,aaron comes across as cold+calculating and throws a hissy fit if everyone doesn't do as he pleases, plus it has become more apparent that he is also trying to fool the public what with the silly Alex Sibley impersonation.

I'm sure quite a few viewers and commentators of the show are not that emotionally tied to him that they cannot see his uncouth behaviour and comment thereof, positive OR negative
