Surely they do Cassie's story without Sid, it just wouldn't be right

That was just ****ing miserable and boring. I honestly don't think they should have bothered doing a final series if they couldn't get most of the cast back, granted Nicholas Hoult wouldn't do it now but they probably could have gotten most of the others to do it. It just doesn't feel like Skins, it just felt pointless.

Cassie's story looks like it might be a bit more interesting but my expectations are low. If I don't like it I'll just stop watching and pretend this series never happened.

Pure part one was pretty brilliant actually. Hannah Murray is fantastic, the music was perfectly suited and the story so far is great. Definite step up from Fire IMO.

I didn't really enjoy Cassie's story as much as I did Effy's. I might re-watch it before part 2 to try and get myself into it.

The only Pure about that episode was that it was pure shyte

I haven't watched it yet but heard there was no mention of Sid. It's quite dissapointing they haven't used these episodes to answer some questions or tell us what the rest of the cast are up to, that's what I wanted out of them :-/

It'd be pretty bad if they did a Cassie episode without Sid... like, what's the point? They've picked such a random cross section of characters. I've not watched any of it yet but why would they have an Effy film and a Cook film? Surely they should just put them in the same one, even if the writers didn't envisage them being together? Why have Cassie and no one else from the first generation? Okay she wasn't particularly close to any of the other friends but I don't care enough about any one individual character to justify them getting their own mini-film with pretty much a new cast that bears no impact on the rest of the Skins universe, and I'm sure most fans feel the same?!

I thought the first episode of Cassie's story was miles better then the Effy one but I think the problem with this series is that it doesn't feel like Skins at all. It's too depressing and it's trying to be overly profound when it's not. What's the point of a farewell series if it doesn't answer hardly any questions or feature most of the cast?

Looking forward to pt 2 of Pure tonight. I preferred Cassies episode to Effys.

Also Bryan Elsley is doing a Q&A on twitter and he answered a question about Sid not being in Cassies episode and he confirmed it was Sid Cassie talked about traveling America with so I guess he found her

This series is getting an awful lot of sh*tty reviews, not sure if I'll even bother with watching Cook's episodes or not when they're out.

That was just sh*t like seriously I'm so disappointed

it started so well last week but what even was that?! None of it made sense, I didn't understand what was going on...it was as if there was no storyline

Like I don't actually get what I've just watched, I feel like I got nothing out of the episode and learnt nothing

So disappointing

Haven't bothered with Cassie's because of how underwhelming people said it's been. I did struggle somewhat with Effy's episode. I know it's meant to have matured but this is not a good way to see classic Skins out..

I suppose you're right, but I think it was a genius little TV show to begin with and continued to be so right up until the last episode of Series 4 and the end of Generation II. That ending was moronic and I didn't get the point in an all new Generation III with absolutely no connection to the one before. It's like the Sugababes being called the Sugababes even though none of them had anything to do with that group being created and none of them were even on the first album. It was fine having Generation II because Effy featured in Generation I and it was based around her and her new group of friends. And now this Series 7 nonsense makes even less sense. So they've ignored Generation III (even if it was pointless) and have chosen to see what three characters are up to. Cassie from Gen I, Effy from Gen II and Cook from Gen II. Just me who thought Generation III were brilliant, I mean Season 5 was not too great but Season 6 was flawless from start to finish with Franky and Liv's episodes being particular highlights!
