Reminds me of when I was on the tills once and told a customer they can't use other shops carrier bags when they were packing their goods, their face was a picture poor sod, I had to quickly tell them I was only joking and that of course they could use them. I even used to to tell customers if other stores offers and goods were better, I should have got the sack really

Trust me, it's more than worth the 40p. If you take it "unbagged", they literally stand at the door handing each item to you, one by one.
