What you need is a nice coal fire.

It's also double pleasure. Not only does it keep you roastie, toastie but if pi55es off the Green tyrants too.

I love a "real" fire and grew up with a coal fire - my sister still has an open fire - BUT I hate to be the bearer of bad news Alf, they made buring "proper" coal illegal a few years back. You have to use smokeless coal, dry logs or other alternatives (all of them are significantly more expensive than proppa old fashioned coal).

Obviously no one is going to know if you're burning normal coal - but good luck buying it in the first place.

Haha, I had the real fire on for the last few days. But I'm running out of smokeless coal so I am wearing big coat a friend gave me.

In the house.

It's meant for 20 below zero temperatures.

I'm warm as toast. It works.

In fact I'm sweating a little.
