It takes him ages to get a sentence out. The actual Churches are hypocrites anyhow. It is one of the hard things of Christianity to do and all churchgoers and believers fail to do it too. Myself included. However the message, the main message of Christianity which in the end is the belief in Jesus Christ and his teachings. That main message is NOT to judge, not condemn, not exclude ANYONE. To be ALL inclusive. There's no organised church movement which in any shape or form embraces even the will to carry that out never mind actually do so. |

Can’t think why a gay couple would even want to get married in a church

Again I will ask why anyone would want to get married in an establishment that doesn't approve of you

But if they are surely they would be aware of the stance of the Church and respect that
I know quite a few straight couples who consider themselves Christian and for one reason or another could not get married in the Catholic Church or who did not want to go ahead with a traditional wedding in a Church so have had a civil ceremony and a blessing afterwards

The Churches NEED to think again.
For me, never mind why individuals who still have a religious faith, would want to marry a same sex partner in church. Because the belief they have wants that recognised spiritual connection to their union. Other people can ridicule and put down Christians and those of other faiths for their beliefs. To those who have a faith well their faith is real however and means a great deal to them. Just as life and their families, hopes and dreams are real to them too. What is hypocritical of Church leaders is that they'll take those people's cintributions of time in church activites and financial donations to the Church, wants them being numbers in the Church attendance. Paying lip service to them. Yet purposely DENY and FORBID a sacrament of the church to them because of who they wish to spend hopefully the rest of their lives with. Really that has to be wrong in any book. Hypocrites. Plus who was it who also called the faith leaders hypocrites over 2000 years ago. I have a feeling he still would today. |
