I don't agree with the protests and abusing the Garda, these people have been brought in by the government, it is not like here, they have not come in small boats, they have been flown in, many of them probably don't even want to be in Ireland so its not their fault, it is the government, they should be protesting outside the Dail, not setting fire to accommodation. I don't know why the government doesn't allow them to work, are they illegal if they are flown in

Mmm not good, I think the Irish police have handled this really badly. Came out very confidently to say it's not terrorism when they couldn't be sure of that but at the same time they immediately slam a 'lunatic, hooligan faction' and a 'thuggish and manipulative element' before any trouble had even kicked off really. That's incredibly charged language which isn't very befitting of people trying to calm tensions

Very primitive emotions get raised when children are threatened or indeed hurt. Emphasis on primitive, and it doesn't excuse the extent of the reaction, obviously.
