It does do that on the mobile friendly 'ST responsive' themes

…oh, it really does automatically adjust to fit on an ST responsive theme, I didn’t know that…thanks for that, MTVN….I dont like the top of the page so much in this one, it’s not as clear …but I’ll get used to it, it’s just that it’s different is all…but yeah, that’s very good because pics stretching the page/thread just makes it quite unpleasant and jarring to look through….

…yeah, it’s a bit weird to get used to something different and things like notifications and the whole top of the page can’t be seen as easily…I’m thinking that maybe I’ll change back but switch to this just to post an image when I need to…it’s not that often that I post images from news stories, anyway…but it’s very clever, I’m glad that I’ve found it now ….

…the funny thing is that when you go back to a non ST Responsive skin…?…the image becomes huge and stretching again….so it doesn’t actually adjust the pic, it’ll (…I presume…)…only appear correctly sized to those using an ST responsive, it’s adjusting how we see it, not the image itself…?…so anyone using a non ST will be thinking….what on earth are they talking about because the image remained huge for their viewing…

the point really is that everyone should be using the responsive type of template these days, more fool us for only getting the benefit today

…no, I think the point for me is that people will use the skin they’re most comfortable with overall because…human nature and that’s the most likely choice people will make…I’m cool with that and spoilering pics that I know are oversized to keep the uniform and flow of the thread etc…especially as I understand now, so that’s been helpful…and I won’t get irritated or despair at big pics because I realise that it’s me and the skin I’m using…I’m cool with that and being my own fool, it serves me ok, actually…

Correct but to make it work in all themes would only require tweaking a couple of lines of CSS and literally one line of vB code.

(For reference, think of CSS like "a style template" and vB code as "the code that makes the forum work")

The vBulletin forum software is admittedly outdated and clunky as crap, BUT dynamic image resizing these days (the days of HTML5) is pretty simple code. It can be added to any forum skin... it doesn't have to be a super-special responsive skin, that's just the one TiBB's cloned from the vB site 'cos they're too scared to mess with the default skin code .

Personally I will never use anything but "Light Blue - white". It's been set to that for me since 2013... I tried other ones but they just don't feel like TiBB. Arista's ridiculously massive tabloid front pages stretching the screen and all . In fact scratch all of what I said in my last post. Never change, TiBB... you are a beacon of the early 2000's, tenaciously clinging to life in a modern corporate internet that lacks ... character.

…yeah, same…I only ever use light blue and white……it’s just so pleasing in the eye and well spaced to be able to see everything at the top of the pages so clearly…I have tried others but they don’t compare for me..they’re just not clear enough…so I’d rather put up with the oversized pics…(…although that does jar with me as well when the page doesn’t flow, sometimes I just don’t finish reading a thread because of oversized pics…/…put them in a spoiler is the compromise…)…that pic I did originally go George was just unusually large, is why I commented…it was the XXXXXLarge version….
