The prime minister of Bangladesh has resigned and fled the country following a revolt from
citizens and sustained mass riots for weeks.

Police killed nearly 300 people since the riots broke out in Dhaka.

Any symbol can be used to promote a riot and the far right do use the english flag on numerous occasions. It's not like it's something new

The English flag unfortunately was hijacked by the EDL-and-similar decades ago... it's genuinely a shame to see the Union Jack now going the same way. Because the thing about symbolism is that you don't get to choose what it symbolises, and it does matter... once that association is there, it's very hard (if not impossible) to undo it.

One thing that tickles me a little, is the social media trend towards using the Union Jack imagery alongside "sleeping lions" as a call to arms for these riots.

The irony of lions not being native to Britain whatsoever is apparently lost on them .

I even saw one person on TikTok comments boldly stating, "NOT TRUE Britain had the Cave Lion".

It went extinct 40,000 years ago the streeeetching.

It's actually the Police who have at first originally termed the rioters as mainly of the far right
With EDL leaflet in place too..

Since the Police are the ones in the front line, getting bricks and other objects hurled at them on a daily basis, plus the Police who are arresting the rioters so will know more than us watching on the TV

I'll go with the Police description of where this is from in the main, than anyone else's.
Plus it's the Police who will be informing the government of any of its findings too.

Exclamation Starmer changed his tune from 2020

Following 10,000 arrests in the USA following disgraceful riots and looting far far worse than what has happened here...

-------

Sir Keir Starmer has urged Boris Johnson to challenge Donald Trump to
"respect human rights" following widespread protests in the United States
over the death of George Floyd.

In a letter to the prime minister, the Labour leader said there was a "moral
obligation" to speak out and the UK must show it was "ready to stand
together with those who seek to tackle the injustice and inequality that
remains within all our societies".

His comments come amid an outcry over the US president's incendiary
response to the protests raging across the US after the death of Mr Floyd, an
unarmed black man, at the hands of a white police officer.

Mr Trump has reacted in fury to the widespread unrest, tweeting that "looting
means shooting" and threatening protesters outside the White House with
the "most vicious dogs and most ominous weapons I have ever seen".

Sir Keir wrote: "In the House of Commons yesterday, I raised my shock and
anger at the killing of George Floyd and the response of US authorities to the
peaceful protests.

"This has shone a spotlight on the racism, discrimination and injustice
experienced by those from black and minority ethnic communities in the US
and across the world.

"I welcome that you shared some of the concerns I raised with you and want
to use this opportunity to explore what the British government is doing to
urge the United States and President Trump to respect human rights and the
fundamental democratic right to peaceful protest.

"I am sure that you share my strongly held belief that the UK has a moral
obligation to speak out in defence of these values, no matter where in the
world they are challenged."

He pressed the prime minister on whether the government had raised
concerns about about the reaction of US authorities to peaceful protests, and
how he was planning to emphasise the importance of a "peaceful and
proportionate" response to the protests.

Sir Keir also asked what the government was doing to ensure the UK exports
"are not being used in the suppression of democratic rights" following
growing calls for ministers to end the sale of riot gear and rubber bullets to
the US.

We need to get rid of the lions and use the badger, so we can all come together as one to rid us all of the parasitic establishment.

When the white lower classes sing rule Britannia supporting England they are racists.

When the upper classes sing it at last night of the proms it's not seen as racist.

Just a thought.

The armed forces will not be used UNLESS the Police call on the government for it.
Then saying they can no longer cope.

The Police uphold the law, the Police currently believe they can deal with these riots and these thugs and idiots.

When or if, the police feel they are losing control, then they'll possibly ask the government for armed forces assistance.
