Tina didn't present herself as a schemer but it was all a facade -- remember, this is directly after Richard Hatch wins Borneo and is hated by America for ruining the integrity of Survivor. Australian Outback had a whole level of metagame because after seeing Hatch break the system, you knew that that's what you had to do to win, but you also knew that you couldn't present it as such since Hatch was a despised pop culture figure at the time. Tina didn't want you to think that she voted out Mitchell because she caused a power switch literally on the hike to Tribal Council, she did it because he was weak (her TC voting confessional blows that image up -- in the spirit of the Olympics, let the games begin!) She didn't want you to think she took out Jerri because it was the best option for her strategically, it was because Jerri was mean. She was forced to run the game without giving off the appearance that she cares about The Game, but she did it stunningly.

All of this is why Tina is one of my favourite winners

Yeah, I usually don't bother with the live reunion. The one for Kaoh Rong (the only one I've seen live) was atrocious and that turned me off the idea as a whole.

I've now finished Nicaragua and might start Redemption Island in a little bit. I've already seen people comment on here a few times that this season is awful. Let's see I guess.

I certainly liked her, but she was much more meh than I expected. I thought she was meant to be Australia's villain, and she wasn't like that at all IMO.

It's much harder for spoilers to leak when the votes are read in a studio in LA six months later, than if they're read six months before in a Nicaraguan jungle and half the cast + all the crew know the result

Well they couldn't because there are only one set of votes, unless they made everyone vote twice/three times which would confuse everything even further
