The next day, Gary was sat as planned with the 'plastics', as Jen and Dean called them. Ross was applying lip-gloss to his already very well made-up lips. Hugo was still in the queue ordering lunch, so Mark decided to make conversation with Gary.
"So, have you seen any cute guys yet?" she whispered excitedly.
"Well..." Gary blushed
"She so has!" Ross giggled.
"Who is it!?" Mark demanded.
"There's this guy in my .GIFs class - his name's Novo I think-"
"No!" MarkWaldorf suddenly interrupted as Ross gasped. "That's Hugo's ex! That's like...illegal." she scolded.
"But if he's her ex..." Gary tried to reason.
"Regardless! Ex-boyfriends are just off-limits, it's just the rules of feminism! (ohay WOMBAI. miserable bitch.)" MarkWaldorf recalled, suddenly shattering the fourth wall and making contact with one lucky audience member.

[Flashback:
Jayson: OMG DID YOU SEE THAT?
Jack_: He said her name!
Stu: Holy fuck.
WOMBAI: ]

Hugo started to walk over, and Gary looked worried.
"Don't worry, we won't tell her. It can be our little secret." Mark smiled, and Ross nodded in agreement.

Over the next few days, Gary found it difficult to swallow (fnar) that she wasn't allowed to make a move on Novo. But she figured she could still talk to him. On October 13 he asked her what day it was.

[Flashback:
Gary: It's October 13th.]

On October 19th she struck up a conversation.

[Flashback:
Gary: It's raining.
Novo: Yeah.]

After school that day she waited around by the football field to be picked up by Hugo. She caught a glimpse of Novo running and couldn't help staring, until a convertible pulled up and honked her back to reality.
"Get in loser! We're going shopping!" Hugo called, and Gary followed.
At the shopping mall, Mark suddenly pointed out to the other girls how LemonJam was sat at the water fountain with Jonathan Rodell.
"That little skeez?", Hugo pointed Jonathan out, "Oh please, give me your phone." Hugo laughed.
"No! Don't!" Mark tried to object.
"It's fine, you want him back don't you?" Hugo persuaded her, and got hold of her phone.
She punched in a few keys and was soon speaking to Mrs. Rodell.
"Hello?" Annie answered the phone.
"Hello, Mrs. Rodell? This is Cheryl from Planned Parenthood. We have Jonathan's results, if you could just let her know to call us as soon as possible. It's urgent." Hugo seamlessly informed in received pronunciation before hanging up. Ross and Mark burst out laughing, as Gary felt a little guilty for Jonathan. He looked over to her and noticed Jonathan answering her phone.
"Mom?" Jonathan panicked.

The girls walked on past the skincare store where Jen worked and Dean was trying on free samples. Jen waved and pulled a mocking smile aimed at the other 3 plastics, and Gary privately smiled.
Hugo then drove them to her house, where Mark whispered to Gary something important.
"Make sure you notice Hugo's mom's boob job."
Opening the door, a large beaming woman greeted them with a hug and Gary felt like drowning in silicon.
"Hey hey hey! How're my gurlfrans?" Shaun spoke in a strange young accent.
"Mom, this is Gary." Hugo forcefully smiled, pointing her out.
Behind them, a young girl was hula-dancing to the Sugababes' "About You Now". Ross went to join Greg, but Hugo led them all to her bedroom.

Inside the luxury bedroom was a whole assortment of beauty products, pink accessories and lush furniture. Gary couldn't believe this was all for a teenager.
"Your bedroom is amazing" Gary was genuinely impressed.
"Thanks. It was my parents', but I made them swap." She laughed.
Shaun walked back in with a tray of exotic-looking drinks, handing the first three to Ross, Hugo and Mark.
"Happy hour is from four to six!" she laughed.
"Um, is there rohypnol in this?" Gary was concerned.
"Yes." Shaun suddenly hissed and pulled a threatening face, walking out of the room.
Gary placed the drink down on a side table and noticed the other three were admiring their reflections.
"Ugh, my pores suck." said Ross.
"My nailbeds are so bad." Mark sighed.
"I have man-shoulders", Hugo trumped, as they all turned to look at Gary.
"I...have a really sweaty vagina?" Gary suggested, and Ross was sick.
"Hey, look, I haven't looked at this in forever!" Mark giggled and took out a large pink bound scrapbook.
"Oh, Gary, this is our burn book. We use it to write stuff about everyone in our school year." Hugo informed, as Ross opened it and turned to a page.

"Stacey.x is a grotsky, little byotch."
"Still true." Hugo smiled.
"Braden is a fat virgin."
"Still half true", Hugo cut, and Mark laughed.
"Karl. He made out with a hot dog."
"Jen Ian - DYKE." Mark suddenly announced.
"Hey, who's that boy she's always with?" Ross wondered.
"Oh that's Dean, he's almost too nerdy to function." Gary made small-talk.
"Haha! That's good. Put it in there." Hugo instructed Ross, as they set down on the bed to make adjustments to the book.
Gary worried - maybe that was only okay when Jen and Dean said it.
