To act as though being sexualised by two young boys is demeaning and disrespectful when it's for that reason they have a "career" in the first place is ridiculous. That's the point I was trying to make.

But for you to bring a generalised view of "girl power" into the discussion and compare it to a rape victim is too far.

I never made out it was anything but my own opinion. This is a forum I don't have to state it in every post that what I'm saying is an opinion. And I stand by my OPINION whether they physically shagged the old perv or not. Their "actual" (according to your...erm... opinion) job is still just as demeaning of themselves before any young boys make any moves on them. And I don't think a glamour model is a right comparison for Playboy bunnies neither as real modelling is very different to sticking your silicone boobs on a calendar.

Jedward are being very cleverly managed by Louis Walsh. He knows they have a limited shelf life and he is maximising publicity. On the same day as they appeared on CBB they also appeared on the hour-long Celebrity Wedding Planner (as the planners).

Also appeared on BBBOTS - and were given a pretty significant role.

People disagree with their "career" and feel justified in saying what they want about them.

The concept of celeb BB is to take famous/infamous personalities that we normally wouldn't have "access" too and allow us to see them as people, rather than just a name or label. To break down that preconception of what and who they are. Unfortunately it doesn't work.

Most people that dislike them, dislike them for their hypocrisy, over self-importance and being stuck up.

HaHa! I think you just described alot of the celebs that have entered the BB house over the years.

A number of the housemates have commented on Andrews delusions of grandeur. And lets not forget the genius who once stormed out of the house because he had to wash his own underware. It takes all sorts.

As for being stuck up - them seem happy to chat to everyone. Hardly the norm for people that are stuck up.

I agree. I really thought I wouldn't like these two at all but they've pleasantly surprised me, they come across as intelligent and can read people well and don't let people get away with s**t, they're upfront and fiesty but not bitchy.

Interesting read, I’m sure the book will fly off the shelf and make the author millions. But we've all heard of the dodgy parties, the curfews and the allowances.

A quick search of the internet and I found another article:

The main point of my posts kefln is struggling to understand is that my judgements are made on facts outside of whether they slept with Heffer or not.

08Marsh, I think one other thing is relevant. Most prostitutes tend to be quite honest about what they do, who they are etc. I personally have no issue with sex workers, as the cliche goes "somebody's got to do it". What I take issue with is, the sex worker whose career is built on male interest, yet have the gall and arrogance to expect others to "respect" them for what they do. In my opinion being a career pro. in a sex industry does not necessarily promote gender independence.

I would always respect prostitutes as individuals, but I won't respect duplicitous bints who pretend they're more than they actually are.
