It is really awful Kazanne, in fact I have put people right on this who I heard talking about it.
One of them said, ''that singer from Steps,Ian Watkins'', was the person accused, I pointed out he wasn't and that he was known as Ian 'H' Watkins,usually just 'H' from Steps.

They had until then really believed he was the one being talked about in the press.

It isn't only awful but worrying too, you get daft people who get a snippet of the info and then act on it.
