Boris has now said no for this.

But Dr. Darzi is standing by it

he deals with cancer everyday.
NHS London backs him
He said when they brought in the ban in in pubs and food places
it was the same
saying no.

pubs and restaurants or indoors in general i can understand, but parks are just plain stupid, nobody smokes in some strangers face anyway, there is zero risk in a large outdoors area to non smokers. this is literally non-smokers waving their dicks around

There is a massive difference between smoking in a building as to smoking outdoors. This would be just daft.
However the roads adjoining the Parks but not in the parks clearly would be smoking areas.
How stupid is that.

Anyway I agree with Livia, smokers pay a massive amount in tax and if they cannot smoke in public buildings then no way should they be told what to do that isn't illegal in open public areas.

I neither want to or would live in new York, nice to see you praising the States at last arista.
I live in the UK and I think when I am next in london,I will join Livia and just walk round with a lighted cigarette in the parks too.

If they make smoking cigarettes illegal, then this would make more sense, however then the Govt. would lose a fortune in tax revenues.
So if they are not going to make smoking illegal then stop getting at people who do.
Also if they ban them from smoking in public areas like parks in London, then smokers should get a reduction in their council tax in my view.

Put the smokers in a plastic bubble, they can smoke inside there and choke one another.
