68. Starstruck (feat. Space Cowboy and Flo Rida) // The Fame (track 7) // 2008
This is quite a unique cut on The Fame, and it honestly goes off. The bass and rap addition make for a track that is honestly so far from just about anything she's done since The Fame. The lyrics on this track are great - she's basically rap-singing. It is a bit shallow compared to most of her other output though, and it leans towards sounding a bit dated. 67. Shallow (with Bradley Cooper) // A Star Is Born (track 6) // 2018
Lowest-ranked lead single Maybe taking out Shallow in 18th-last place is a tad harsh. It's an emotional, roaring ballad that is very simplistic but swells into a big moment. It's the pivotal song of the film, and has been Gaga's biggest hit in years and years. It's been a global phenomenon and I will always appreciate Shallow for that. It's just that... I've got to be honest with myself, and the facts are, I would drag this song if it was released by Ed Sheeran (which honestly, it could have been), for being basic or whatever. Lyrically, there isn't a lot going on, and it's not the best ballad on the soundtrack by any measure. However, Gaga and Cooper do really put their own stamp on Shallow, and I guess for the GP, it just worked. Last edited by TomC; 21-03-2019 at 10:40 PM. |

66. Bloody Mary // Born This Way (track 8) // 2011
When I first got into the BTW album, Bloody Mary was one of my least favourites... I just didn't get it. I'm glad it did click with me eventually though, because it's quite the anthem. The chorus is just such a hook! It's still not my favourite BTW track by any stretch, but it's just a track that's kind of unique in terms of production and concept, yet fits so seamlessly into BTW. 65. Mary Jane Holland // ARTPOP (track 12) // 2013
Mary Jane Holland is an EDM banger. I love the breakdown in the middle: "COS I AM RICH AS PISS". It is probably one of the weaker tracks on Artpop for me, but that doesn't change the fact it goes off. |

64. Sexxx Dreams // ARTPOP (track 4) // 2013
Another masturbation BAWP! This was one of my favourite ARTPOP tracks when I heard the album for the first time. It doesn't hold up quite as well now - it's certainly no match for the first three tracks of the album. It is however a creative track that's fun to listen to. "When I lay in bed I touch myself and think of you" ![]() Spoiler: Last edited by TomC; 22-03-2019 at 03:11 PM. |

"Starstruck" and "Paper Gangsta" should've been higher.

63. Summerboy // The Fame (track 14) // 2008
This is such a gorgeous, poppy, summery track. It's so breezy and teenaged, but there's also an undertone of melancholy. This is definitely one of the better non-singles from the Fame. Even though I only heard Summerboy a few years ago, it just makes me feel so nostalgic. Spoiler: |

62. Music To My Eyes (with Bradley Cooper) // A Star Is Born (track 7) // 2018
This track sounds like it came straight out of the 50s (?). As with the other soundtrack numbers, it is just so well-written, cleanly produced and skillfully sung. The song just effortlessly portrays the bliss of a fledgling love. ![]() Last edited by TomC; 22-03-2019 at 03:14 PM. |

61. Hey Girl (feat. Florence Welch) // Joanne (track 10) // 2016
To my mind, each song on Joanne for the most part explores some kind of theme, and on Hey Girl, sisterhood is central. It's a mellow throwback track with some great writing and stunning vocals. It is slightly underwhelming for a song that brought together two music icons, and is probably one of my less favoured tracks on Joanne. That being said, it's a completely unique cut from Gaga's discography, and an enjoyable one. I love when Gaga says "and then it's four AM...the sun is creeping up again... don't you leave me". ![]() Spoiler: Last edited by TomC; 22-03-2019 at 03:21 PM. |

60. Swine // ARTPOP (track 9) // 2013
Swine goes the **** off! It's certainly a... unique track. But it's just an absolute banger. Someone on the Gagadaily form said they like working out to it bc there's something 'oddly motivational' about Gaga screaming that you're a disgusting swine. The drop is like nothing else on her discography. It's a very 2011, almost Dubstep bop, but perhaps nothing more. NB: The above performance is a damn mess. ![]() ![]() |

59. John Wayne // Joanne (track 4) // 2016 John Wayne is one of only two truly upbeat songs on Joanne. It took me a while to get John Wayne when Joanne came out, but it's just such a good time. From the dialogue when the track begins to the exhilerating chorus it's just such an enjoyable track. The video is great too... it almost feels like Gaga used John Wayne to temporarily depart from the stripped-back nature of Joanne. Although she nicely straddles OldGa and NewGa, and if the LG6 visuals are of a similar vibe to John Wayne's I'll be scalped. The only thing that prevents John Wayne from being a little higher is that I just don't find it as sonically enjoyable as most of her other tracks. There's no sense of any kind of eargasm... it's just a fun track to sing along to. ![]() Spoiler: Last edited by TomC; 22-03-2019 at 08:16 PM. |

58. Just Another Day // Joanne (track 13) // 2016
Just Another Day is the last original song on the Joanne album, and it plays like a sweet little 'until the next time'. It's a mellow, uplifting track, and is yet another Joanne track that is kind of unique and brings something different to this eclectic album. Last edited by TomC; 23-03-2019 at 02:08 PM. |

Do you think songs with Videos effect your ranking? Bc it’s more of a concept for a song?
![]() Just curious

But equally not to a great extent. Like if I don’t like a song, a video will do nothing to change that, but it probably has more of an impact w the songs I like

Here we go!
57. Million Reasons // Joanne (track 7) // 2016 Here is another track I'm worried I'm being a little harsh on. It's an entirely pleasant track, and really embodies the 'stripped back' theme Gaga was going for with Joanne. I also ADORE the now-iconic Gaga look that is bound up with Million reasons - the pink suit and cowboy hat look. The vocals are lovely - I can't really criticise any part of the song. It's just... it's a little plain. It was promoted for like FOUR months, and although I can see why it was chosen as the spearhead of Joanne, to my mind it's not even the best balledon the album. The music video is a wee bit messy too. Like, PI was stripped down and ICONIC, whereas MR is just a tad cheap. I must say, she produced some lovely performances during the 37 years she promoted the song for. This one is a highlight: |
