If that's what you believe..thats fine.

If he was armed, your common cheap skate criminal like this lot would be armed as well.

We dont want none of that thanks.

We have armed police. Do we really want to live in a country where the local Bobby is armed?...I dont.

I want to see a return to community policing. It works.

All these heavy handed tactics, cuts to community services and reduced neighbourhood policing has massively backfired. It was the wrong call.

PC Andrew Harper's widow has written to the prime minister to ask for a retrial after his killers were cleared of murder.

Lissie Harper had been married to PC Harper for just a month when he was killed trying to prevent the theft of a quad bike in Berkshire last August.

Henry Long, 19, Jessie Cole and Albert Bowers, both 18, were acquitted of murder by an Old Bailey jury on Friday.

Cole and Bowers were found guilty of manslaughter, while Long had previously admitted the same charge.

In an open letter posted to Facebook, Lissie Harper urged Boris Johnson to "have this miscarriage of justice overturned".

Those uneducated teenagers set out to steal a qaud bike not murder a policeman.

So from the off it can’t be murder.

Take away the background of those involved and the fact it was a police officer and the need for a murder charge would not be so high.

The jury heard all the evidence and came to their decision.

If this trial gets rerun do to public opinion or pressure that means all the other trials should get reheard.

They didnt set out to murder him....but it came down to whether they were aware he was being dragged along. They kept swerving from side to side knowing (I believe) that he was being dragged and tried to dislodge him. That makes it murder....but they obviously convinced the jury that they didnt realise it was the officer...hence Manslaughter..

This is such a tragedy...such a lovely looking young man...and his poor wife.

I haven't read all the details but if they were trying to dislodge him, wouldn't that prove that it wasn't murder?

Gross, no. They wanted to dislodge him, drive off and leave him for dead.

They said they didn't realise he was being dragged, I think you would know if something was being dragged behind your car?

See that’s the thing, the jury sat there an heard the evidence and visited the crime scene and came to their decision.

Tragically he lost his life trying to save some rich idiots toy.
