I think it's fair to say he has emboldened and supported racists like no other modern day president. When the Klan, and Neo-nazi groups think you're with them, then it's difficult to really suggest otherwise.

Just like brexit emboldened the racists over here. They are not the cause for modern racism, but both make it more acceptable to state horrific feelings and beliefs in public.

Also that clip does show people not being racist - everyone who isn't yosemite sam.

...it’s easy I guess to ignore, turn away from...feel oh yeah but not everyone is like that, etc...if it’s not something that we’re experiencing ourselves...if it’s something that’s just on a vid/images on the screen ...but not everyone has that privilege because it's very real prejudice that their experiencing and very real hate being screamed at them...for the young man who took the vid on his phone..?...he filmed it because he sensed something was escalating...and that’s probably because of his previous life experiences and associations of having experienced racial slurs himself...as his mother has explained ...and the reason why it was so important to her that the vid was made public and that this man’s hate was exposed...

I disagree it's the way they are made. Racism has to be nurture over nature, no one is born a racist.

Maybe they were always racist, maybe they've been swayed by a mixture of austerity (in the UK), desperation, and people lying to them about who is to blame. That said, we can't just pretend that white nationalist/supremacist attacks haven't gone up exponentially since trump/brexit.

We can either suggest it's purely a coincidence, or we can accept the links in rhetoric etc. I mean, we have white shooters explicitly telling us they're doing these things because of what they're being told by trump/right wing media. These guys aren't hiding it, it's not some secret society, it's right out in the open in front of us.
