In their lengthy list of pronouncements, Harry and Meghan say they will now be spending much of their time in North America, where they've just be lounging on their lazy backsides for six weeks 'much-needed holiday' – a holiday from what, exactly? - at a multi-millionaire's waterside mansion in Canada.

Oh, and they're going to seek to be 'financially independent'.

It's only when you read the details of this 'independence' that you realise what it actually means is they want to live off Harry's dad's money, from Prince Charles and his Duchy of Cornwall – which he only possesses by right of being the Queen's heir.

They have also informed us they intend to continue living for free, when they grace the UK with their esteemed presence, at Frogmore Cottage, their palatial home in Windsor that was gifted to them by the Queen and which has been refurbished to their specifications at a cost to the taxpayer of millions of pounds.

Yeah i agree with that, he does seem to be very like Diana. Tbf it must be suffocating to be born into that life if you're a certain type of person. What I can't get my head around is if he never wanted this life, why did he have the big public wedding, surely the two of them should have thought about what they wanted before the wedding, it's not even been two years, if its been on the cards since a teenager he had plenty time to plot his course in the world

He's 35, and as I said in the "when is a boy a man" thread - 30's sounds about right to me for people starting to figure their **** out. Also, the media turned absolutely toxic once they were done with the wedding. Probably lifted the curtain a bit.
