It was fantastic.
The look on Nathan’s face, him telling the others, asking if they had kissed. The pillock is worried it will all blow his fauxmance out of the water. ![]() ![]() |

To me this was just two drunken people behaving like drunken people do, and I personally feel reading any more into it seems s bit of an over-reaction. Lily drunkenly threw herself onto the bed in a flirty mood as she finds Marcello fanciable. He did nothing more than stroke her hair! He hardly touched her inappropriately. It was just flirty behaviour between two consenting adults, and I feel we need to remind ourselves that Lily is an adult, and not some underaged child. Had he touched her in a sexual manner then it would be a problem, but this is not what happened. They were in a room full of people, and Emma summed it up perfectly. In my experience, go to any pub or club on a weekend and people will be behaving in the same way. Who hasn’t had a drunken flirt that means nothing and leads to nothing?
I think it’s important to remember how producers like to cast housemates in particular roles, then broadcast anything that seems to support that. This year, Lily is the innocent naive child and Marcello is the villainous predator. In so many ways it is like a pantomime, and it’s easy to fall into the trap of accepting the narrative that producers want us to follow. However, I personally feel that their one-dimensional portrayal of housemates can make us forget that we see just minutes each day of each person, and therefore perhaps get a very skewed impression of who they truly are as people. I don’t disagree that some of Marcello’s comments and behaviours have been questionable- I’ve made that point myself in previous posts - but on this occasion I don’t believe there was any sinister intention. ![]() |

If I felt his behaviour was concerning, I would, as I have previously, call it out, but that’s not my perception of this situation. |

…yeah, this is what I mean with…I kind of to and fro with her, her absorbtion in Fake Potato romance has been quite s lot at times but she also seems to have a good take on stuff…/…not just her assessment of things but the humour in which she can deliver also…she’s not a favourite atm as such…well, not over some others …but I definitely don’t dislike her either….

…so far as the thread topic and Marcello and Lily …it wasn't so much as any actions on their own for me …it was also that she was very drunk and that had been commented through the evening before the phone calls …and I’m also considering a few other of his actions in the house as well and interactions with …like the hand in throat action, which we’ve talked about…and also his anger with Sarah and his dismissing of her when he didn’t want to speak to her…with Marcello, every time that I warm to him, there is something that I think…hmmmm, no…and I certainly don’t think he’s one dimensional or that any of the housemates are…they all have likeable aspects of their characters and some have aspects that aren’t so much a good look as well and I think we all realise that…I’m glad that Ali called time out anyway because I think in that moment, it was the right call…

Of course they can but Ali doesn't come across that way with Lily, it seems a more protective maternal thing. I don't even like Ali but she's not come across in that way at all, Marcello has though

The fact he's close to a few people in the house ,shows he obviously has a few real friendships in there . He still hugged Segun.... despite the ' red witch ' expose on the phone aswell lol .
