Speaking of high prices- I seem to be an egg waster lately. I buy eggs and don't touch them or think about them until before or after best by date. I do like eggs but they're not my fave either

I'm the same then whenever I actually need them I don't have them. Also end up buying a pack just to use one egg to egg wash a pie crust or something then never use the others

Luckily, the only time I use eggs is for baking/coating, so that’s not a problem for me. I’m not a fan of them.

I hear you. Actually considering baking something so it doesn't all go to waste.

Baby-boomer toxicity being put down to being “old-fashioned”. Life didn’t begin in 1950. There was a time that pink was a masculine colour and blue was feminine-coded, long-before most of our grandparents were born. Societal norms evolve with time.

Yeah, okay. But there was also a time where men wore high heels and (essentially) corsets.

When an extroverted-sensing type of person dismisses thinkers and intuitives as “over-thinkers”. Philosophy, engineering, psychoanalysis and medicine wouldn’t exist without thinkers. We don’t all take life at face-value and that’s okay. We need thinkers and intuitives every bit as much as the go-with-the-flow types.

Do they still have ‘use by date’ on eggs ( or anything)

Thought I’d read they were phasing that idea out ??

Ok egg and chips is nice but I have to be really motivated to eat that egg.
A mouthful with lots of chips and sauce so I don't taste it

I just can’t do eggs. Don’t mind chunks of scrambled in Chinese fried rice but that’s it. I hate boiled eggs (and the smell) in-particular. Just not my kind of food at-all.

Eggs are amazing for protein and weightloss but man when I think about their origin and sometimes seeing those red blot clots and the white stringy bits How do people eat raw eggs. Has to be really fresh I get it but still. Also I've never tried a real carbonara but know the egg is technically raw I don't want to ever. So dishes with raw eggs are a bit of a Nono for me

A tube strike next week is just what I need because of course I couldn't possibly get to the airport without drama could I? Nooooo that would be absurd.

…the strikes may not go ahead but they’re something that you’re aware of so that gives you the time to make that Plan B as well and outwit and out plan that drama…
