When you work for a supposedly ‘unbiased’ public broadcaster, the ‘impartiality rules’ should apply to all of them in the same aspect, one rule for all as they say, they shouldn’t defend one if they’re gonna punish the other

That's one point of view, but let's wait until Arista gives us the OK.

Worth noting that Durham police will not be taking any further action and that they believe the original trip to Durham was not against the rules

They found his trip to the castle a breach of the rules, yet Boris and co seem to be saying the police are wrong and are continuing to defend him, it’s ridiculous at this point

Also people are saying that this brings the position of the AG into question because she made her stance on the case public before the investigation took place and now her stance contradicts the police’s findings, so she in no way can be be impartial in her position

Well done the police here, they were caught between a rock and a hard place though. If they had gone the other way it would've annihilated public confidence in them.

There was never a question of him "losing", but hopefully the whole thing has exposed part of the murky Westminster underbelly to a few people who didn't already know about it. Though I won't hold my breath, the public will have forgotten about it in a few weeks.
