Actually...just to tease you...here's the first ten
![]() 50. The Graham Norton Show - 20 points ![]() Also incorporating 'V Graham Norton' and the immensely popular C4 show 'So Graham Norton', the Irish TV presenter hasn't been off our screens in the past decade - catapulting from cult status in 1998 with a naughty bare-all chat show to...a naughty bare-all chat show. 49. Sabrina the Teenage Witch - 23 points ![]() It started in 1996 and lasted until 2003 - but 7 years was enough to cement it as a Nickelodeon classic. Starring Melissa Joan Hart as the eponymous character, it followed the capers of a teenage witch finding her powers and her crazy family - including fan favourite, talking cat, Salem. The final episode finally saw Sabrina ride off into the distance with her soulmate, Harvey. 48. SM:TV Live / CD UK - 24 points ![]() The cure to many's Saturday morning hangover and the staple in children of the era's TV-viewing diet, SM:TV propelled Ant, Dec and Cat (now Cat Deeley and...Ant and Dec) to fame with a variety of childish games, sketches and live music performances on its neighbour show 'CD UK'. It finished in 2003 after a succession of different presenters including Big Brother's very own Brian Dowling. 47. Without A Trace - 24 points ![]() Running from 2002 until 2009, Without A Trace was a US drama series set around the premise of an FBI Missing Persons' bureau. Averaging around 14m viewers per season, its tense mystery and the dilemmas its characters faced touched upon a number of issues and made for compelling viewing. 46. The Royle Family - 25 points ![]() It officially ended in the year 2000, but 4 christmas specials since then have made sure this comedy continues to be a hit with fans. Written by Caroline Aherne, it followed the mundane lives of the Royles, a family of couch-potatos and argumentative, flatulent 'chavs' - brilliantly acted by UK legends such as Ricky Tomlinson and Liz Smith. It swept comedy awards, winning BAFTAs, and its legacy sees it as a regular in Christmas viewing and Best Sitcom polls. 45. The Hills - 27 points ![]() The 'reality television' program is one of MTV's biggest modern hits - and has made somebodies out of nobodies such as Lauren Conrad, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag. They're names you'll have touched upon in your careful adventures with Hugo, but serious lack of talent and likeability aside...it's apparently popular. **** knows why. *shudders* 44. Buffy the Vampire Slayer - 27 points ![]() It only lasted 3 years into the decade, but Buffy's popularity dominated SkyOne listings and DVD boxset sales for much longer. Set around Sarah Michelle Gellar's central character and her 'Scooby Gang', the supernatural series brought vampires into the 21st century, and it's arguably an impact on modern successes True Blood and Twilight. 43. 24 - 27 points ![]() Jack Bauer has become a household name, perhaps, oddly, more famous than the actor who portrays him. Presented in a novel new way of 24-hour series [each episode lasting an hour of Bauer and co.'s lives], the US action drama continues to be a massive ratings hit. 42. Come Dine With Me - 28 points ![]() First broadcast in 2005, the C4 daytime program's premise is a simple one - 4 or 5 randomers from the same town are thrust together and forced to host dinner-parties over the course of a week. However, its popularity lies within the arguments rather than the culinary prowess, and cutting quips from its commentator. 41. QI - 28 points ![]() The panel comedy gameshow began in 2003 and regular host Stephen Fry and panelist Alan Davies have made it a stalwart of British weeknight comedy. Its unique brand of 'general ignorance' and celebrity guests [ranging from regulars David Mitchell and Jimmy Carr to actress Emma Thompson] celebrates 'quite interesting' [what the title stands for] trivia.

40. Little Britain - 29 points
![]() It spawned an unprecedented amount of popular impersonation of its characters, and its catchphrases became a part of everyday speech. Matt Lucas and David Walliams' sketch show was arguably the most successful of the decade. 39. Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps - 30 points ![]() Featuring Sheridan Smith and Ralf Little, the sitcom set in Runcorn amongst a friend circle of chavs continues to be BBC Three's biggest show, despite being as funny as finding an aborted baby in your sink basin. 38. Benidorm - 30 points ![]() I'll be honest - I know very little of this show. I take it's a sitcom set in a chavvy holiday resort in the title location. Featuring Johnny Vegas and a host of cameo stars, Benidorm only began in 2007 but managed to quickly establish itself enough to get on here. 37. Alan Carr: Chatty Man - 30 points ![]() The camp comedian has had a pretty successful decade. Launching to fame via The Friday Night Project with Justin Lee Collins and a hugely-popular 'Tooth Fairy' live standup show, he's gone on to present a gameshow and now this. His feminine and outlandish style makes for an interesting interview whoever the participant. 36. Bad Girls - 31 points ![]() You've no idea what I've just seen googling that image. The insane UK drama based in a womens' prison saw a whole host of absurd stories and sensationalist nonsense that made for spectacular viewing; including hauntings, murders, steamy relationships and comic relief. 35. The Simpsons - 31 points ![]() Starting in 1989 on the Tracey Ullman [IIRC] show, the 90s was dominated by the yellow folk. However, its marketability and sheer dominance over US/international comedy continued and still does - now drawing massive names from both showbiz and politic (Tony Blair even featured). The decade also saw a Simpsons Movie, which reinforced the show's appeal. 34. Friday Night With Jonathan Ross - 33 points ![]() Starting in 2001, the chat show King has taken over from the giant, Parkinson, as the country's most-watched talk-show. Since then, Ross has drawn in huge names from all fields of showbiz - from Barbra Streisand to Vivienne Westwood, David Bowie to Ricky Gervais - and, joined by house band 4 ***** and a Piano, continues to go from strength to strength (suspension aside). 33. Dancing on Ice - 34 points ![]() Perhaps one of the bizarrest brainwaves to emerge from reality television, ITV's answer to Strictly Come Dancing was to shove the celebs on ice and make use of Holly Willoughby's er...talents. It's camp, it's panto but it's successful. 32. Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway - 38 points ![]() During the 90s, Saturday night's television viewing was the focal point of scheduling - with hit gameshows such as Blind Date and The Price is Right dominating. This died somewhat in the past decade, but one stellar success was this. With an army of Z-list celebs at their disposal, Ant and Dec's fun antics drew millions upon millions of viewers. 31. The Office - 39 points ![]() With the simple premise of mock-documenting the mundanity of office life, Stephen Merchant and Ricky Gervais began what was to be a phenomenally successful decade for the pair with this gem of a comedy. Gervais' 'David Brent' is continually hailed as one of the greatest comedy characters of all time - his cringeworthy management style and desperation to be adored illustrating why.
