I'm sure Big Brother ofcourse Big Bully now will be really pleased she called him that
It's obvious they've wanted to encourage and help the bullies mean tomorrows eviction is based on them cheating by discussing nominations all to try and make the show more controversial to improve ratings smart thinking Big Bullly as thousands are turned off by the bad preying on the good I'm sure they'll love it hey she's in the bad ones they can get away with anything right even racism as long as it improves ratings because it's more contro that's the way the thinking of BB has gone I'm sure couldn't be bothered to finish the word there cos im so bored with the evil b******s behind the plan |

She doesn't really care much for him she did use the word and she got a warning, I don't think she in any way meant it nastily though.

I haven't seen this yet, but I can't believe she got a formal warning when Conor didn't. I have called people gorillas before, if they were big and smelly or something, and I would hate to be accused of being racist if any of those people just happened to be black. She should have been told it could be taken the wrong way and given her a chance to explain, but a formal warning is just ridiculous.

Get it? Got it? Good!

She is an absolute disgrace! I bet she wouldn't have used the word 'Gorilla' if he was white
![]() I think she knew exactly what she was saying & her "apology" to Adam, where she basically lied & said she did like him, then turned it all round onto her once being bullied (WTF?!), was so fake.. The pretend tears that she was drying at the end, as she smirked into the mirror, proved this... Glad to see that Adam wasn't fooled by the horrid little witch though!

I gave her the benefit of the doubt when it came out of her mouth, became more skeptical through her attitude in the diary room, was 99% sure when she flinched if Adam tried to touch her, and by the time she smirked...it was racist. It was her code, and her idea that she was just so brilliant she could say it like that and only Scott would understand what she meant by it.
She "despiiiiiiiises" so many people in that house, but only Adam gets that special brand of revulsion that treats him as less than human. Even Chris didn't get that kind of treatment - her worst for him was rolling eyes. So now my next thought - how often do we ever see her interacting with Shiv one on one? |

I still think the Conor incident was of far greater concern than this Caroline one but kudos to Big Brother for stepping up their game in regards to giving out official warnings to housemates.

The movie, The Bad Seed, also comes to mind - sociopath is the common theme here. |

Brits have got to cool it with this stuff. You have to understand, there was this Shilpa story that went international. NOT because of the reason Brits think it was international news. It was used as a kind of shaming example of just how ridiculous, OTT-PC, and really pathetic the UK had become with micro-managing thinkspeak and this kind of thing.
Even Americans (where it turns out African animal nick-names for blacks actually is a real overly-sensitive issue) but even THEY are rolling their eyes and ridiculing the UK for its PC infatuations. I would call Adam a 'Sasquatch'. Which is a kind of North American Ape (legendary). Because he looks like a big gigantic tall hairy slope-shouldered lumbering dude with big black hair. He does. If he had long white hair we might call him a 'Yeti monster'. He could also be compared to a big gorilla. People also thought George Bush Jr looked like a Chimp. People have compared Barack Obama's healthcare schemes as 'Witch doctor medicine'. Some boxer with dark skin called himself the 'Black Bomber'. Cuz he was very black in colour and like Joe Louis who was brown-skinned and called himself the Brown Bomber. Everyone just calm the eff down already. And another thing. Stop wearing those palestinian scarves. I STILL see them. For crying out loud the UK is trying to host the Olympics so let's stop this now. |

I'm in America and can assure you that you can call a black person a disgusting Sasquatch, but that means nothing compared to calling a black person a monkey, gorilla, ape, or baboon. These words have weight because of their historical association. Don't act like they don't. You can call Becky a dolphin or a shark, but you call her a whale and you know people are going to interpret it differently. We don't live under a rock, so people need to choose their words wisely. If your boss is an ass to you, you don't tell him off because you know there are consequences. The same logic applies here. |

Because that's what I wrote. And you responded by taking what I said, telling it BACK AT ME but 'as if' you were informing me. Quote:
Now, since I taught you what are racially-sensitive terms in the USA I can also tell you the UK doesn't quite have that same history (the one I told you about here). Yet, they are taking the 'PC correctness' even further. For example, insisting that the most nefarious American racial context be applied to a British girl in her culture. Anything else you want to know? You can repeat it back to me 'as if' you thought of it first again, if you like yes? |

caroline is kind of clueless so she might not get what she said, i agree the pc issue can go over the top but to call a black man a gorilla is hard to defend on any terms, bb did the right thing

That comment had a racist undertone and she knows damn well it does, she could have called him: pig, whale, donkey, elephant and that animal kingdom list goes on and on but of course out of all the possible animals she could have called him, she chose gorilla, the one that will have the most undertones given the fact that Adam is a black man.
