He had two vehicles, one of which was a left-hand drive Land Rover Discovery made in Spain. Police had earlier said that April was seen getting into the driver’s side of the vehicle, which they suggested could mean a left-hand drive vehicle was used in the abduction.

Indeed, Det Supt Bevan said:

“Furthermore April has been described as getting into the driver’s side of the vehicle. This may be because she got in with the driver or that it is left hand drive vehicle. We still believe that the van is grey or light coloured, but again these things can be affected by failing light and street lamps. The indications are that she got into the vehicle willingly… There’s nothing to suggest at this stage there was a struggle.”

Back to the Telegraph, which seeks to balance its report:

Ben Edwards, 22, a neighbour, said: “He is a nice guy, and absolutely brilliant with his son and daughter. He was always putting his kids first.” He said Mr Bridger was “into his cars” and was “never the type to cause any trouble whatsoever”.

Sadly the more time that passes I think the less likely they are to find this poor little girl alive - it's awful how can people hurt a child? I really hope they do find April alive but it seems odd that they have stopped the public searching now and called in experts - sadly I don't think it bodes well.

That is very worrying but I think the police know more than they are letting on, especially having arrested this Bridger chap and found his car - it just makes me go cold even thinking about it

Sadly thousands of children go missing everyday not reported nationwide, but those that are reported the parents on the night most of the times seem to have been extra careless that night. McKans left Madi alone, and this one, if you look at the pics of their house and how far April was playing hmm...I just don't know. The police have taught me you can't rule out parents in these situations.

The following extract, part of which I bolded, taken from the Sky News Site- Link - is also worrying if he is indeed involved in the abduction.

I sadly have to agree with your post, especially the bit I have bolded I still hold out hope she is found, and soon and alive, but it seems less likely now as time stretches out Abduction news is so, so sad, especially where children are involved. Can't even begin to understand how the parents, family, and friends are feeling at the moment. I am still praying that the outcome is a good one.

Yeah I don't think they should have released all that info about the suspect yet, remember what happened after Chris Jefferies was arrested for the Joanna Yates thing, the Sun carried loads of headlines about what a monster and evil bastard he was and then it turned out he was completely innocent

I may be the only one here, but as sad as this case is, I still would like to believe the main suspect is innocent until proven guilty. I've seen so many cases were people, as main suspects, have been arrested and been made to look guilty, then the police actually find the real perpetrator.

True , but many suspects have been held for a while and had absolutely nothing to do with it. It just annoys me that some people are so fickle to instantly believe what the media tells them. He may or may not be guilty, but until he is proven guilty I'd like to think he is innocent.

Ah yeah I know, I mean I've never actually said Oh yeah he definitely did it but I do think that police must have some serious reason to think he's involved. It's only human nature to have an opinion on it or a feeling, though I do think they should have tried to keep his name out of the press until it was proven to have been him

Exactly! If he is guilty then great, but if he is innocent people will always be wary of him for no reason whatsoever.

And Novo, so because he looks guilty in that photo that is a reason to believe it? Sorry, but if anyone was arrested for something like this they would look as worn down and tired, you cannot expect anyone to look fresh and "innocent" in photos for this kind of case, be they guilty or innocent.

If we go on how guilty people look in photos, almost everyone who has a passport is a convict and shouldnt be allowed to travel. Seriously...I have yet to see a decent passport photo and everyone seems to look dodgy as hell on them.

A little offtopic though.

If he has smiled or something on the photo people would say its a sinister smile, because hes been found guilty by media already anyway

Yeah gives me a very good reason to believe it because IMO that is one of the most guiltiest faces you are likely to see.. not just that though everything else adds up perfectly to be him, The girl getting in the drivers side and he has a left hand drive Land Rover Discovery which are really rare over here.. the description of the car was also pretty much spot on before pictures were released of it, the guy has fathered 6 children to 3/4 different woman and been arrested for keeping chickens in his home for some strange reason, he was also wearing two pairs of pants and completely covered in Camouflaged gear when they found him.. very weird if you ask me
